My folks have been going here for years and literally never stop talking about it and having finally been I can see why. The staff were attentive, engaging, chatty and even remembered who ordered what after we decided to move places after ordering, attention to detail like that is a good thing and made me feel valued as a customer. The food is absolutely exceptional !!! I'm very fussy about Lamb but I took the plunge and ordered it. When it came there was enough to make me feel full yet not enough to leave without dessert, was this some sort of marketing tactic ? 😜🤔 The lamb literally fell apart in my mouth and was cooked perfectly along with the vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. I do love my mint sauce which was the crowning glory for my main 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Desert was just as good as the main their cheese cake has to be 1 of the best I've tasted and left me satisfied and full after what I would say was a great dining experience. The atmosphere itself was busy homely family run Inn/Pub feel that had been elevated with the inclusion of being well dressed and light in a very nice way. Staff 10/10, was a lovely day with the family and was made better by the location, food and people.

Would highly recommend and sadly can only give 5 stars 👍

Third visit and the quality is as good as ever. Chicken Kiev was massive, yet still moist inside with a very refreshing pomegranate salad. Two steaks tender and falling off the knives, with a surprisingly tasty stilton & parsley sauce. Chicken skewers with rice and nan equally excellent. Portion sizes very generous and no room left for dessert . Staff very friendly, service excellent, our favourite place to go.

First time I've been here since it has changed hands and it won't be the last, meal was fantastic, great portions and reasonable prices. Beer and wine choice was great and the service was grand, we arrived with our 4 month old baby and they made sure that we were comfortable. The place itself looks amazing and I would highly recommend a visit here. We will be back.

Visited after reading reviews and can only agree with the 5 star reviews.
Atmosphere great ,staff friendly, courteous, welcoming and helpful.
Food was unbelievable, its been a while since I've had such a fantastic food experience like this.
Main meal was just fabulous and the pudding was absolutely heaven.
Chef makes all his own sauces and food preparation and all cooked to perfection.
Value for your money completely at the Cross Inn . Can't wait to make an excuse for a return visit.

I last visited this place around 12 year's ago and wanted to pop by when in the area. I'm so happy it's still open and the food is just as good if not better. I could have eaten everything on the starter's and main but decided to opt for a main and I'm so glad I did. I had sweet potato & pepper taco's - they were absolutely sublime with a nice kick of spice. I couldn't finish them and I got the rest to take away. The place has a great ambience about it and all of the waiting staff were patient, attentive & friendly. I hope to be back and will be recommending it.

Such a gem! Warm welcome, gorgeous interior and to top it all off an open fire on colder days ... Excellent food makes this an outstanding pub. Great team will look after you. Highly recommended 👌👌

We went for Sunday lunch, and what an enjoyable experience it was. We each had 3 courses all of which were excellent. It's the best roast lunch we have ever had. There was a good choice of meats, and the roast potatoes we're excellent. Very good value for money. Added to all this the service was excellent, and although they were busy we never had to wait long for our food. A big thank you to them as well for dealing with my allergies. A definite place to visit if you are in the area.

Can't rate the food as we arrived on New Year Eve without booking and it was full. But the menu was very interesting and to our tastes like. We stayed for drinks, good beer and coffee. Staff very pleasant, decor most attractive. We liked it and will definitely go back.
