Had a lovely Sunday lunchtime meal. Limited but adequate menu choices, and deals for having 2 or 3 courses. Generous portion sizes meant that although the food was lovely we couldn't manage a desert after having a starter and a main! Great service and big pay and display car park directly below the venue. (50p per hour)

There is very little to recommend about the Rose and Crown. The en suite toilets don't flush (really) and when one of the staff tried to show us how to flush our toilet, she couldn't make it flush either! And when we complained to the manager, she told us that that was just how things "work around here"! There is no place to park for free near the hotel so you either need to pay for parking, or tote your luggage up the hill from the railway station where the parking is free. Also, if you're not keen on deep-fried food or burgers in thick white buns, than it would probably be best to dine elsewhere.

A busy place on a Tuesday night and for good reason - the food & service was excellent. If you’re looking for somewhere for dinner then don’t hesitate in coming here.
Had the brisket burger which was juicy and not at all dry, and a biscoff cheesecake to finish that was served with warm biscoff sauce and ice-cream. All served efficiently and with a smile.

Probably the best burger I've ever had in my life, I had the brisket burger and I couldn't put it down, so tempted to get another purely down to how amazing it tastes, took me 5 hours to drive here for a weekend away and I would drive that just for the burger, and the chicken tenders are on another level also, can't recommend this place enough honestly this is such a great place I wish I'd found it sooner! This is a must visit if you are down here! Best burger in the entire united kingdom let alone Wales!

Lovely little place, the food is amazing, a lot on your plate for what you pay for. Toilets are clean and tidy. And a lovely view out of the windows. Unfortunately what we originally ordered was not available and we were not told this on arrival, and we were waiting to pay our bill for a while. Other than that it was good. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Had an amazing welcome when first got there on the 15th and then brilliant service from all staff when we turned up for food.. Highly recommended place.. Will definitely be calling for weekend again.

We r working in the area we booked rose &crown we got there and was welcomed by 2 lovely young lady's who was polite and full of smiles they showed us r room n we went down for dinner the meal was great recommended by the staff if we r out this way again or within 30 miles this is the place I will be staying
