Had a great meal, we did not reserve until late and they were good enough to accommodate us. Food was of high quality and presented well. A small criticism would we had to wait a long time between courses, as we were not in a hurry this was not a problem (I believe this was down to a waitress calling in sick).

We popped in while travelling through Newtown on a rainy, windy day and we were welcomed really warmly, even with 2 children, a baby and a dog 😂. We were set up next to the fireplace to dry off and enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch, which had probably the best mashed potato I've ever had. Enjoyed the main so much we had to have one of each of the desserts and would recommend anyone else to do the same. Lovely people, lovely establishment and lovely food 👍

Thank you so much to all the friendly staff, for their surprise for my husband's 50th birthday meal. The restaurant was beautiful with the perfect atmosphere and the food was delicious and cooked to perfection.

Another excellent meal at this favourite local restaurant. Award winning Welsh chef creating top class dishes with fine detail & flavours.

Booked that day on the suggestion of the staff of the B&B we were staying in.

Made it way down from the B&B confirmed our booking and were shown into the bar where we had a drink with some locals.

We were taken to our table and ordered quite quickly, food came and it was beautiful. My main was the steak, cooked beautifully.

Finished the night with a few whiskeys back in the bar and then walked back to the B&B.

Wonderful night. Good food, great service.
