I had a pork belly starter, which as a pork belly connoisseur, I can confirm - was delicious. I then had pan fried hake, salsa verde, with a cauliflower puree, which was seasoned well and had plenty of interesting flavours. It was also plated very elegantly. With hardly any room to spare, I had a chocolate mousse, which I believe was an orange flavour with pistachio. This wasn't too heavy or rich and was a great way to end the meal.
The waitress who mostly served us was very enthusiastic and had a very nice energy. She was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and it felt like she really enjoyed her job, which is lovely.
I would suggest this place to anyone who knows/enjoys food and wants a warm, relaxed and down to earth atmosphere. I will be back.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere and decor in the restaurant was pleasant, fun and relaxed. Probably the nicest vibe in any restaurant I’ve been in around Carmarthenshire. Felt like places I’ve loved in Bristol but all the better because it’s so close to home!
We were served within 10 minutes of sitting down. The food was properly knock-out. The beef was super tender brisket I think, the roasted half carrots and parsnips were perfect, the potatoes were really nice and crunchy even at this time of the year when they can be difficult and Yorkshire pudding was light and fluffy. Gravy is important with a good roast and this was one of the best, AND, it came out in a well sized jug and I’m sure had I wanted more I could have got some because of how nice they were. The side veg was tasty and fresh. The review from my partners veggie roast was equally shining.
We shared a sticky toffee pudding - it was SO good. They’re often drowned in the toffee sauce which completely ruins it for me. This one came with a light drizzle of the sauce on a very moist pudding with some nice ice cream. Perfect.
I will 100% be coming back and I think everyone local should be making every effort to keep gems like this open.
Was pleasantly surprised with the options available on their lunch/brunch menu. All ingredients seems to be locally sourced and this info is available at the entrance. The food was delicious and myself being a carnivore didn't have any complaints (I am a serial complainer when it comes to my food).
Very happy with the service and customisations allowed as my wife has many allergies. The prices are very reasonable given the service, the well maintained place and the tasty vegan food. Highly recommended!
