Liked: Have stayed here many times.
Great location with easy access to the sea front. Lovely quiet site with a nice bistro on site.
Facilities are showing signs of age but they are always clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful

Disliked: Not a problem but Pitches are very open. Would be nice if they introduced some trees or hedges between the rows

Facilities clean, but could probably do with an update / refresh though. Greeting at reception when we checked in was friendly and helpful. Site is well maintained and clearly laid out.

A quick look on Google Maps before we booked would have showed that the site is right next to a local recycling centre, but that didn't really cause any problems.

On-site restaurant did food to a decent standard, and again, the waiting staff were efficient and friendly.

Site was quiet after 11pm and although busy during the day, when we were there, it wasn't overly noisy. Access to the site was easy enough, however, we did encounter some grumpiness on returning late (around 11.15pm) to the site, even though we had agreed this in advance.

In the same way that some houses have a "beware of the dog" sign, maybe a "beware of the site owner" (?) sign near the entrance might help set expectations....

Overall, a pleasant enough place to spend a few days.

Liked: Staff really friendly and helpful. Lovely clean site, and pitches well kept. We upgrade a day before to a creek pitch. Was well worth it, beautiful views.

Last day there went had breakfast at their restaurant. Was all fresh and really enjoyable. That evening decided to have dinner there, better than most fancy restaurants.

Very animal friendly. We took our puppy and everywhere he went he was greeted warmly.

Will be going back, and recommend a visit if your in the area.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Location great, right on the river side and easy walking to the coast. Pubs and eateries within walking distance. Site is really friendly and well kept with the all important showers/toilets kept in good order.
Nice touch having the cafe onsite with outdoor dining and drinks, really good site.

Liked: Gorgeous location. Very clean and well organised site. Good showers and loos; pretty peaceful in the evenings - which was lovely.

Plenty of electricity connections; very reasonable pitch fees; good pitch space and lovely views of the creek.

All the staff were outstanding - so friendly and helpful - almost made me feel like part of the family! The Galleon restaurant / cafe was attractive, comfortable and the food was tasty - especially the breakfast omelette.... delicious!!

The walks along the creek, as well as along the beach were absolutely beautiful.

Will definitely return.

Disliked: The radio left on in the ladies loo through the night.... which I could not hear from my pitch, but it made for some very lively nighttime visits to the facilities.

Quiet and secure campsite with great facilities. If your lucky you can book a prime spot overlooking the creek or lake with in my opinion is a must. I stayed 3 days and will definitely book again. 10 min walk to the beach if you take the creek route and pitches are nicely spaced apart. Peace and tranquility what more could you want

Liked: A fair sized campsite, with a bistro, launderette, and a small shop in reception. The lady in reception was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival. The showers and toilet blocks were dated, the showers smelt a bit musty, but they were averagely clean, with enough facilities for the size of the site. The site began to fill up as we headed towards the weekend, so the peace that we had experienced earlier began to fade. Lots of children and barking dogs! Unfortunately this was topped off by a young boy standing right outside our motorhome door, letting his dog empty the contents of its bowels all over our pitch! While his parents were quite happily sitting, watching from there's! I know that this is not the sites fault, and they rely on people cleaning up after their dogs , and provide dog waste bins, but maybe a designated dog walking area should be considered on this site, as I know the people on another pitch close to me experienced the same thing with dog waste, right outside their door.

Disliked: The constant grass mowing! I appreciate a well maintained site, but the grass was being mown all of the time, going over pitches that had already been done earlier in the day.

A perfect spot to explore the coastline and Hayling Island - I used this site as a stopover for the Portsmouth Dockyard - quite an epic walk to the ferry but worthwhile! Ride your bike if you have one as you can take it on the ferry too. The campsite was very clean and the staff very friendly. The bathrooms were modern and clean and easy to access. I didn't try to Bistro this time so can't comment on that. Would definitely come back here again...
