Park and homes were generally ok. Very out of the way but with great views. Shop is not well stocked and maybe wait a few days for essentials like milk. The pool was dirty for most of the week and a little chilly. It was eventually clean and warmer by the end of the holiday. But 5* for the life guard and his music. We were also asked to leave the pool area once and sometimes twice during some days. Carl Lee worked very hard entertaining everyone. Had a good holiday due to the good weather.

Very well kept and clean park with the club house restaurant and shop staff been very friendly and helpful. pool area is very well organized with a life guard on duty when swimming pool is opened in the morning. The Static Homes are very well arranged in the park and is a homely feeling if on holiday. Thanks for making my stay a memorable one.

We just had four nights at Steeple Bay. Our first time here and will definitely be back again. Our caravan was clean and spacious. There is lots to do for children, amazing children's entertainment, beautiful views and friendly staff, clean sight and a heated Outdoor pool. I don't understand some off the bad reviews. A lovely family friendly place. Thanks Steeple Bay

Really lucky had almost new caravan.
Very clean and modern.
Only had to report the soft furnishings had spills on them. But was offered to come and clean off.
Lovely location too.

Have come here a few times over the years. Always loved it, the caravan was top class and spotlessly clean, had an awesome cooker, shower was nice and powerful, heating was good and simple to use. TV and DVD. Nick the park warden was very helpful and welcoming. Staff friendly and hardworking. Look forward to returning

Lovely tranquil location, near enough to Maldon to get supplies etc by car. Caravan was fairly modern and nice, bar, pool and shop. Only downside was our caravan hadn't been cleaned at all (otherwise would have got 5-star). Staff made their best effort to coming and hoover etc while I cleaned the surfaces, wasn't ideal with a baby but we all make mistakes, they did make an effort to make things right and checked in with us the next morning by phone. Want to go back, but will check about cleaning before we do.

Booked as was advertised as dog friendly... dog friendly caravans yes but they're not allowed in the clubhouse at all. We sat outside, where there are loads of wasps (there is evidently a nest that needs sorting).

The clubhouse staff were not very attentive and did not go 'above and beyond'. One member brought out breakfast (toast and hashbrowns) that we had waited 20 mins for without cutlery. When I asked for a knife she said yeah at end of bar. The bar was not busy and staff could use their initiative to either tell customers to grab cutlery when order at the bar or bring it with the food. I had to go and get the cutlery while I watched the girl walk to stand behind the bar (no customers to serve).

Plenty of staff on, not doing much, and yet tables still had dirty glasses on hours later. Lots of items were out of stock. Not a place I would rush back.

Girls on reception were smiley. We had 3 caravans in the group. 1 was available an hour early, 1 on time and the other 30 mins late. The young lad on reception just shrugged and said its not ready when we asked why at 4pm we didnt have the keys... Make sure you take cleaning products to do a once over, the caravan wasn't cleaned to my standards (hair from previous occupants still in plug hole).

We had an issue with heating. This was reported and fixed promptly. Staff did call my mobile to check on everything.

Mattress was very uncomfortable, probably due for a change at the end of this season.

Park is very secluded, which is peacful but any longer than 4 days would be too much for me. To get to most places you need to drive, we tried to walk along the Estuary to St Lawrence but when you reach the sailing club, you cannot walk any further. Would be good for a sign to be put up by the park to make this more known. Also the 'beach' on the Estuary was not suited for walking dogs, absolutely covered in thick like tar mud from walking along.

My car was also scuffed while being parked outside the road next to my caravan, not ideal.

Overall I don't think this was the park for us. It has not given me a great impression of Park Holidays. Will be sticking to Parkdean, who let dogs into their clubhouses in dog friendly resorts.

I’d AVOID!! this holiday park at all costs distant to local shops, entertainment is next to nun the park is being run by infants which are very rude (20-30) I asked to pay for drinks also to pay for one in the tap I was told that’s not their policy so I said "do what u need to do respectfully" in return bar staff (Ian) wanted to start an argument he aggressively snatched the 4 poured drinks for us and was told to "go home" and barred us. Myself and my grandfather later returned to discuss the situation and was instantly screamed at by another member of staff which is apparently the manager which is rather concerning named (Kirsty) and was avoiding discussion at all costs. Without a doubt not wanting to use the R card but the impression given was clear.on a later report to management carried no weight. AVOID AVOID AVOID
