Tŷ Mawr Campsite

It feels so good to be back! Not been here for nearly 2 years due to partner's ill health. Debbie, Jimmy and Lola roll out the welcome carpet to all who come and sample the tranquil life at Ty Mawr. Great base for local walking or just to relax and watch the barges go by on the canal. Well worth the drive down single track lanes to get here

Great basic site for caravans. Loads of space per pitch. Very quiet, directly on the canal and good views . The owner is very welcoming and gives great advice on local info. and walks. We will go again.

Lovely quiet site.next to canal.nice 40min walk to pub with good food.only thing for campers no hot water for dish washing.

Hi, my wife and I stumbled across this gem of a campsite. Sept 2022. It is basic (our preference ) beautiful and quiet.
It backs on to the Shropshire union canal. Plenty of walks directly from the site, complete with a very helpful owner 👍

An excellent little site and very friendly owners. We'll definitely return and highly recommend Ty Mawr.

Stunning site, absolute gem! Very spacious with superb views and peace and quiet. Lovely walk into Ellesmere along the canal with very scenic views.

Great little campsite… pitches are very spacious.. owners Debbie and Jimmy and Lola the dog very welcoming and friendly…. Toilet /shower block were immaculate…. Great view of the canal with the barges travelling up and down…. colemere was about a 10 minute walk then a great circular walk around the mere… had a great relaxing few days here and will definitely be returning

Cracking campsite tucked away by the canal. Lovely warm welcome, great facilities and plenty of space. Nice and peaceful! Nearest pub 30 minutes away via mixture of tow path and backroad. We loved it and we'll be back!
