Newnes caravan park

Spent a lovely 3 nights here in our tent in September 2017 and again in June 2018 and would go back. Would be great if we could be guaranteed a flatter pitch by reserving a pitch if possible as the lower field is on more of a slope but the pitches available on that field (as most are seasonal caravans) some are more slightly sloping than others. Numbers 33, 34 and 35 seem to be the better ones for a tent to ensure your items like cupboards/table are level.
The top field seems more flatter but is more open. When we booked the owner told us to choose which ever pitch we wanted which was great especially when you have a tent it is nice to see which is flattest to pitch on as caravans/motorhomes/trailertents can adjust their legs but tents cannot.
The toilet block is second to none, absolutely lovely and clean only one sink though and two toilets in the ladies that is. The large sink for pot washing is great too, they even supply washing up liquid and sponges, but we prefer to use our own sponges but its a nice touch.
There are two showers with a toilet and basin inside and again lovely and clean.
They have a selection of dvd's to use whilst there and some books and dominoes. It is a lovely site, clean, tidy and well kept and near to town which you can walk to through the sheep's field (about 20 mins walk). Friendly owners and very quiet site.
It would be a great help if we can reserve a pitch especially 33, 34 or 35 if we wanted to go on the bottom field.

Well......where do i begin.....just returned from a 5 night holiday here and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It began with a warm welcome and information where to pitch and where the facilities were. There are 2 fields, the first was level and although all grass it was exceptionally well drained. After the deluge of rain during our stay and prior to i was expecting to see muddy tyre tracks everywhere...but there were none. There appear to be several seasonals, particularly on the second field which is gently sloping so i would advise to book. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers which are kept immaculate. A 20 minute walk takes you to Ellesmere, a pretty little town with traditional pubs, most dog friendly, a canal walk, a lake, park and woodland walk. All in all a fantastic site with gorgeous views in a wonderful location and will most definately be returning.

We had an enjoyable weekend stay at this well run park, which has excellent, level grass and hardstanding pitches with good vehicle access and exceptionally good bathroom facilities. Nearby Ellesmere and the canal offer good walking, cycling and welcoming pub grub. Thoroughly recommended for touring North Shropshire.

Fabulous site. Well maintained with great shower & toilet facilities. The views over the surrounding countryside are fabulous & its only a ten minute stroll into Ellesmere itself . The owner Robin is a very welcoming and helpful guy,always around if needed.

Real nice Camping, stay there August for 5 Days, Sure we come back in 2023.

Adult only, showers, dog friendly. Bit of a trek into Ellesmere centre though.
