Liked: The toilets were spotless. Very quiet location. Warden was very friendly and there if she was needed.

Disliked: We have toured UK and Europe extensively and this is the smallest pitch we have had. Our water barrels were in nettles. The place is in need of restoration. No wifi as advertised. None of their rules are adhered to. We will not be back and would not recommend it.

Liked: Our host was lovely she showed me all of the facilities and helped me onto my pitch my stay was mid heat wave and she had thoughtfully popped us on a shaded pitch which was really appreciated. Facilities are spotless and the onsite shop was brilliant for grabbing an ice cream! Lovely peaceful place, and the pay as you go electric was great - I wish more places did this as it offered really good value we just paid for what we used.

Liked: The site was nice and quiet. Toilets and showers were nice and clean. Showers were a good size with lots of hot water. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were in the adults only section which was a big hard standing area but we still found it easy enough to peg down the awning.

Liked: Lovely campsite, right in the middle of everything we needed-Sherwood forest/Nottingham Castle. Pub not too far away, nice walk to it. Nice walk around woods next to campsite. Staff very helpful & friendly. Impressed with the shower block, wasn't expecting much but found it was nicer than some of the hotel's I have been in. Can also buy ice creams, option for takeaways.

Liked: Large pitch allocated. Clean Toilets.

Disliked: Worst site ever stayed. You would need to drive through few large factories and a an industrial estate, and up a narrow single lane, with hardly any give way places, its the only route in and out of the site. You would need to drive to get to anywhere and no dog walking facilities around. Was greeted by a friendly enough member of staff. Was told that there's a charge of £5 for electricity , which was made aware prior to booking (needless to say, the site booked was for a pitch with electricity, you would of thought, like all the sites we've stayed at, electricity was included with the price). In addition, a £10 deposit for the barrier fob was required, which was not listed on this site and was informed that should you arrive back at the site after 10pm, the barrier will be locked and you will have to park your car just at the side of the barrier. The £5 minimum charge for electricity was deposited on a top up card, should you need more at a later stage. However, the lady, showed us to our 'adult only' pitch and she rushed to the electric meter and informed us that there was over £10 worth of electric left by the previous pitchers, when I asked for the top up card back, she said she has already added the £5, which I paid for and would not need the card back (rather conspicuous). We've noticed, that the site were mainly used by working people in caravans, parked up from a lengthy time. After our first night, we were woken up at 5am by numerous people walking up and down the gravelled site and cars driving out of the site, which we could only think that these people are either factory workers, working near the site or some sort. On our second evening, we decided to put some music on at approximately 7pm , and was told to turn it down! Absolutely shocked at this as the volume was on 30%, so we decided to turn it off! The following evening, at 6.30pm, we were told to keep our voices down due to people are already asleep and had to be up early in morning and was threatened to be kicked off the site if we continued. This campsite should not be listed in any camping and caravanning clubs. In my opinion, this site is used for people who works nearby or as a permanent place of abode and should not be used or welcome genuine fun loving campers or caravanners. Such a relief to leave this place!
