Ping's Sandwich Bar

Used to be great. Been going downhill since new ownership. Had our last breakfast from here this morning. Sausage and a meagre portion of cheese on a burned baguette. The wife had sausage n cheese oatcakes. Just a blob of cheese in the middle and sausage placed in the centre, the rest was just left uncovered. No customer service skills at all (or just plain rude).

This location is the mecca of flavour. Once in a lifetime a sandwich shop comes round with food that will transcend your reality into utopia. I have left feeling euphoric and full. Not just full in my stomach, but full of love and warmth from the owners. Pings, take a bow.

Had a few oatcakes with cheese with beans and cheese with sausage. Sausage was slightly greasy.

£6.80 for a sandwich! Charging for brown sauce and toasted bread on your sandwich! Easily the most expensive in the uk! (Avoid)

One of the best (imo) breakfast butty is S-o-T

Not Nice. Sausages were so greasy! This was once a great sandwich shop. Hardly any cheese on and they charged extra for sauce.

Its been about 15 years since I last came here due to moving out of the area. But passing through and calling in for a top quality bacon roll. Glad to see the excellent quality and friendliness of the staff still exists.
