Excellent fishing with lovely surroundings and a well maintained lakeside. It's well stocked with a variety of fish and there is plenty of wildlife to occupy those "slow" fishing periods.
Accommodation is plain and simple, but clean and comfortable - what more do you want! Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead around the lakes. If you don't fancy cooking for yourself, the excellent White Hart is literally a 5 minute walk up the village.
For non anglers, there are plenty of walks in and around the village, across fields and the little graveyard by the church has some interesting headstones. The village also has its own Meridian marker.
Marie and Ray (mein Hosts) are friendly and approachable and will do everything they can to ensure your stay is trouble free and enjoyable.

Great place for fishing big carp , and meny more fish to catch from barbill to bream roach and tench and more good pegs , and well landscaped and maintained . With friendly host in Mare and Ray ( I LOVE IT)

Lovely people, Marie and Ray, can't do enough for you. Beautiful place, our first visit and booked for next year already. Lake is kept to a high standard and the fish we caught were in perfect condition. Jackie and Shellie.

Marie was a superb host, nothing was to much trouble. The kingsize bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning! The fishing was second to none, nice quality fish in perfect condition. I caught ample of different fish and my biggest bream of all. In four days I caught 83 fish and didn't fish all day as I had to share with my hubby who babysat our 2 dogs whilst I fished then we changed over. What a lovely break for my hubby's 60th. Hopefully we will be back!!
