Swallow Barn Dartmoor - 5* Holiday accommodation

Without doubt one of the nicest places myself and the rest of my party have been too in the UK. The cottage is not only extremely inviting and well maintained, It is also perfectly situated in a quiet part of Dartmoor with breathtaking views and access to beautiful hiking and cycling paths.

We all had a great time and cannot wait to go back. The locals are extremely friendly, and I felt welcome from the moment I made the booking to the moment I returned home.

Dartmoor, a place of mist, mystery, water and sun. Swallow Barn a place of warmth, space, beautiful views, birds and other wildlife. We had a fabulous week there admiring the countryside and enjoying the peace and quiet. The cottage is wonderfully spacious, well laid out and equipped. We were particularly delighted to find the wildlife friendly and eco touches - this is the first cottage we've rented which had onsite composting, such a good idea. There are great walks directly from the cottage, we very much enjoyed a round trip hike that took in the Bearslake Inn, an excellent place for Sunday lunch and the easy walk to Lydford Gorge of course another beautiful spot. Swallow Barn is also well situated as a base to explore the wonders of Dartmoor. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at this lovely place.

Swallow barn is a superb barn conversion! We loved the space, huge bifold doors, cosy woodburning stove, underfloor heating, travertine stone flooring, oak doors, outdoor patio, very comfy beds and the herb garden. The barn has perfect outlook with stunning views across the moors. A perfect place to stay.

Had a lovely stay in a beautiful quality barn. Everything you could want for a comfortable stay had been taken care of, even down to the welcome tray, wonderful, will be recommending to friends and hope to be back

Swallow Barn is a beautiful house where everything has been thought of. The garden is huge as is the living space in the house. We had a very comfortable stay and great comms with the owner. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
