What a fantastic place to stay. The accomodations are really nicely done, and everything is provided that might need. Great walks and pubs on the doorstep, and Matlock a quick car trip away. The owners were really helpful and made the process really simple. Will stay again.

Really enjoy staying here. The rooms were decorated beautifully with each room having its own quirky charm. Really good spot for going hiking and exploring the local villages. Ideal for family get togethers when you need more space. The owners pointed us in the right direction for local catering companies to send chefs to cook for us and also a company who do mobile spa treatments which everyone enjoyed. So take advantage of the owners local knowledge and recommendations because they were spot on! Looking forward to coming again.

Lovely views over Riber Castle. This view stopped me in my tracks. Photo doesn’t come close to doing it justice. Holestone is a lovely part of Derbyshire for walks

First group to stay here after the COVID restrictions eased and it felt very safe. The accomodation undergoes vigorous cleaning and left empty for a few days between stays.

The place itself is in a lovely location and the inside is decorated beautifully. Beds and seating areas are very comfortable and a very large dining area for everyone to eat together. The kitchen is fully equipped and came with essentials. We were very happy to find we had been provide with three cakes too!

Matt the owner was lovely to chat to and very knowledgeable about the area and pointed us in the direction of some nice walks. Overall everyone had a fantastic time and I hope we will return!

As a wider family 13 of us chose to take time here to celebrate the ' significant' birthday of the family ' matriarch'. With ages ranging from 75 to 15 the overwhelming opinion was that it was the best venue yet - and that includes two previous get togethers at Centre Parcs!!
I guess that means we'll be back again in 2023 to celebrate the next BIG birthday🙂 - if we can get in of course!!
Matt is a generous, personable host who, together with his team, has a great eye for detail in terms of the facilities on offer.
Walks immediately from the site and everything you're likely to need otherwise restaurants, pubs, shops, garden centres, the White Peak District all within 5 to 10 miles.

Matt is a very helpful and friendly owner who tries to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. We took the converted barn for five nights. It is well provided for and can accommodate about ten people.
Just one slight drawback is the adjacent cow sheds which do occasionally produce quite a pong, which is noticeable when outside. What you may call a "good country smell"!
