Fantastic place : I spent a weekend with my family in one of their cabins. Very good place to overnight, beautiful views, cabin have everything you would need to enjoy the stay: they thought of every small detail. Beds and bed clothes nice and comfortable to the highest standard. Even luxurious! They leave you brownies to welcome you! Awesome sunset !!!

An absolute oasis! Jeanette & Mark are perfect hosts. Our cabin was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom and kitchen - the hot chocolate was delicious.

The views are splendid and the quiet and true darkness of the nights are a tonic. We can't wait to return!

Wow, wow, wow. We stayed in our stunning Gold Panners cabin to celebrate my 50th BD. The cabin was brilliantly designed with clever storage spaces and hanging hooks. Both the inside and out was very authentic with touches that took me to another era. The balcony with the rocking chairs was a real favourite with stunning views across the valley to Hambledon Hill which we climbed one day. Another fantastic walk was through the woods behind Loose Reins. The cabins have good cooking facilities and cooking barbecues on the fire pit was just magically and memorable. Marc, Jannette and other staff were really friendly, helpful and gave advice on the local area. The loyalty shop is stocked with wonderful local produce - my favourites were the local IPA and ice cream. The log fire and firepit were easy to get started. The shower was really good and always had warm water. We travelled further afield to places like Durdle Door but equally we had gorgeous days just enjoying the cabins and the beautiful location. Interacting with Butch and Sundance (resident goats), lassoing bull and horse shoe tossing were wonderful touches making the visit memorable. On the final night, with no lighting we witnessed the most amazing night sky, with so many stars and constellations. We had a truly wonderful time and will return. The cabins designed by Marc are really something special and all the top ratings for this magical place are deserved.
Many thanks

WOW! We had the best 5 days at Loose Reins. Everything was perfect…a friendly welcome from the team (and animals). The lodge we stayed in had everything we could possibly need! Comfy beds and fluffy towels. We all slept amazingly even our 2 year old. The shop was brill… gorgeous frozen local meals, marshmallows, yummy ice cream and even postcards. Lots of local bits.
My eldest attended Buckaroo club with Amber which was her highlight.
We cycled the trailway stopping at pubs for lunch. Visited Durdle Door and Corfe castle.
The most wholesome, brilliant week thank you! We will be back.

Just came back from a long weekend at Loose Reins, and what a fantastic place! My husband and I stayed with our 1 year old daughter and our dog in one of the wooden cabins. Initial impression we thought it was quite small and was a little unsure how it would work. However, it was excellent. So well appointed and had everything you needed...and more! Once unpacked we easily worked with the space, and really enjoyed the cosiness of it all. We loved the honesty shop and the food was delicious. Thank you for such a relaxing, enjoyable holiday. Would not hesitate to recommend!

The cabins were very cute and we loved the rocking chairs on the porch. Unfortunately:

1. The bed was so uncomfortable that we left a night early and have had back pain for a week
2. Check in is too late (4pm) and check out too early (9:30)
3. Shower was either scolding hot or cold
4. When we arrived (5pm) it was dark and even with a torch we struggled to navigate. We spent ages trying to find the name of the cabin which wasn’t ‘to the side of the door’ as described. No one is available at this time.
5. The general store was not well stocked when we looked. Just dried pasta and some toiletries. Nothing in fridge or freezer.
6. For tall people (5’9 or over) the bed and sitting at the table feels too small

Literally one of the best places I’ve ever been. Absolute paradise if you like rolling hills, fresh air, hikes, animals and still a beautiful clean hot shower in the evening. We spent 4 glorious days here in the “Trappers” cabin with our 2 young girls and just had the best time. The girls spent every waking moment following the horses and goats around, and all super safe and fenced in. Loads of national trust type places to visit and hike very close and many great rural pubs!

Wonderful setting, beautiful nature and lovely farm animals. The equestrian theme is respected everywhere and the hosts are so welcoming. An excellent stay, clean, well organised, nicely designed. A perfect place to relax.
