We wanted to stay in North Devon for a few days and wanted character accommodation off the beaten track but within relatively easy reach of the main areas in north Devon . Coombe farm owned by Lisa and Matt delivered everything we wanted. Great location, genuinely friendly hosts, property with character, quiet and relaxed , with great food. You feel more like a friend stopping for a few days than just another guest but without being intrusive this is a difficult balance to achieve but Lisa and Matt pull it off perfectly. The accommodation is excellent, comfortable and relaxing. The food, both breakfast and dinner, is also excellent and mostly grown or produced on the farm. Would we stay again? without hesitation.

We have stayed with Matt and Lisa a couple of times and would definitely come again next time we are in Devon! The rooms have been done up to a high standard, their hospitality is next level and the breakfasts are awesome! It's a perfect getaway from city life, set in a secluded farm and the local pub is a 20 minute walk through the countryside. Added bonus that it is dog friendly! If you're thinking of exploring north Devon, i would highly recommend staying here :)

I love this place and am kicking myself that I did not book it for half term. We stayed in the B&B side and loved it. Breakfast was served every morning by Matt, and for most of the time, this was on the outside as the weather allowed. When not possible, it was left outside the room. Dinner would be provided by Lisa if required and the two work together to provide pizza. There are so many things about this place that I love, but the best thing would be the waterfall which makes this haven even more relaxing. My wife and kids may disagree as the bedrooms were amazing, as was the bathroom the kids had.

A perfect Setting for a family reunion after COVID, well equipped ,swimming pool ,pizza oven gas bar b cue , washing machine and dryer, dish washer, extra large fridge and freezer, spare freezer in utility room, fridge in dining room, beautiful ensuite rooms , the owner is a laugh very friendly and he maintains his property to a high standard , beautiful walks all around a short 15 minute trek to the new Inn 5 star rating thanks for everything

My husband and I plus our dog (Electra) stayed for 8 nights (B&B) at Coombe Farm in the Blue Room. The farm is in located in beautiful surroundings and a great base to set off from for days out visiting. The room was very comfortable with the bathroom having a huge shower and bath. We took our breakfast outside in the gardens next to the pool every morning provided by Matt who was very welcoming, obliging and extremely helpful. Very highly recommend and we would stay here again. A great holiday.

What beautiful area of private land and local country roads . Very peaceful. Great if your enjoy walking, hiking , cycling or driving and dog friendly , Bonus .
Not sure of public transport as very rural Unfortunately the weather was not on my side to do too much and as it was Xmas I didn't experience the quant villages or many walks and drive outs .
I would recommend you definatly read any email info that Matt especially types up as I was late and stressed so forgot all about this hence caused a parking issue on farm , although once realised had probs with moving car . My issue .not the farm .. breakdown service came within 20mins once called out and sorted issues.
The TinCan Airsteam itself has some quirky original bits eg lights and was comfortable and is getting an update as it's a little tired due to wear and tare just what you would expect from a iconic caravan all upto date amenities on board and in soaire trailer outside. Well thought out .
The elec fire and wood burner were brill and kept it warm which ever i choose to use.
It has everything one requires. Loads of logs and accessories . There is a lovely outside seating area with an outdoor fire pit in the open and under cover seating shelter too which would be great if you can sit out I managed a couple of times due to bad weather .
The large steam tub is sited in your own private romantic secluded area just from the seating area all lit up , but I was on my own so only imagine how romantic can be, although I agree with the owners changing the current log burning steam tub to electric one would be a great help to visitors as current one is not straight forward to use . I was lucky that it had been prepared for me on the first night.
The only thing I would have liked is to lock the van up when leaving it with personal stuff in as there are a few public walking right of way areas through the fields it can only be locked from inside. A number coded one so no key has to be given and can be changed on each visit using person's last digits of visitors mobile phone would be good. Just a suggestion.
I would stay here again in better weather so I can walk and explore the beautiful area on offer .
Matt and Lisa were great hosts and thought of everything . I never got bothered during my 5 night stay, but they we're available by phone through both their busy farming and family schedules .I got given loads of advice on local area. Thankyou Lisa and Matt you were more than obliging xx x

Beautiful B&B in idyllic surroundings.
Everything has clearly been thought about and finished to a very high spec. Very comfortable Bed. Massive shower. Relaxing Bath.
Also the owner Matt was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful.
