Positive: Extremely comfortable apartment. A well-tended and very clean place with a sense of homeliness and ease about it - everything was well thought out for a cosy stay. Very down to earth and traditional in decor but not worn or tatty (although the incongruous moorland bird paintings in the bedroom were slightly overbearing!) Great location down the road from the gorgeous abbey gardens and town centre. Overall a real home from home - it was a pleasure to stay here and relax and we hope to again.. Negative: Key collection - Was confusing that there were two codes for the safe deposit box, one from booking.com and one buried in an email from the host - the slightly impatient tone in a message on the apartment door requested people please don't ring the office but check your emails for the code...this heavily implied guests have historically been confused by which code to use, but I wonder if the answer is to make it much clearer in the pre-arrival email which of the two codes to keep handy....

Positive: Excellent location next to the gardens. Really easy to reach the town centre. Well stocked kitchen if a little on the small side re work surfaces.. Negative: Would have liked the option to put heating on rather than have to phone to ask for it to be turned on..

Positive: Everything. Lovely, cosy, home from home apartment, close to Angel Hill and The Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds. Lovely pub over the road for food . I cannot fault the apartment and it's excellent value for money. Free parking right outside.. Negative: Nothing..

Location great, free parking & wifi. Nice old building, plenty of crockery/ cutlery etc. But only 1 toilet roll for 3 people for a weekend and kettle disgustingly full of limescale, stain previously mentioned on earlier review on sofa still there, single beds could do with a mattress topper. These things sadly marred all the good points.

Brilliant location for the centre of Bury with a short walk to the Abbey gardens and town centre. Lovely accommodation (small but perfectly formed). Will look to stay again given the facilities ( kitchen, lounge, bedroom, bathroom) all for a good price.

Great location lovely house with good amenities, unfortunately I fell over on the last two steps. I was looking out the window and didn't anticipate the last steps, injured my shoulder and sprained my toe still limping after 4 weeks.

Fantastic location, great house with interesting features but if you intend to stay for a bit longer make sure you stock up on toilet paper, oven gloves and some cooking utensils as what’s provided is just a bare minimum
