We were a group of 6 and stayed for a long weekend at Apple Tree Barn for a family event. We were greeted by Julianna on arrival who was very welcoming and informative. The reception area was so spacious for entertaining the extended family on one of the evenings. The hot tub was amazing, such a treat on a late winter evening with the lights changing colour.. it followed with a few drinks next to the lovely log burner too! Although Apple Tree Barn is new and the pictures look great, the place was even better in reality. It was the perfect getaway and was by far the cleanest and most comfortable holiday rental we have stayed in. Would strongly recommend.

A wonderful cottage that certainly does have that luxurious feel to it. We were a family of 5 and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring before curling up in front of the log burner.
The cottage was spotless and the owners Julianna and Tony have thought of everything from providing robes and slippers, blankets to curl up under to a wonderful telescope for star gazing.
Plenty to do in the area from local Cider farms, walks around Blagdon Hill and we would highly recommend Tropiquaria Wildlife Park if you have children with you - fantastic little park with a whole range of animals.

Enjoyed a fantastic 2 week stay at Apple Tree Barn. The hot tub was enjoyed by all and we found the barn to be of an exceptionally high standard. All 3 bedrooms are a good size, comfortable beds and lovely fresh, new bedding. The kitchen has everything you need, alongside a lovely table and chairs and BBQ outside. We enjoyed evenings playing games and also made use of the playstation (excellent wifi). The weather was really hot during our stay, so we did not need to use the log burner but I am sure this will prove to be a wonderful feature during colder weather. There is also an outside secure shed, that was handy for storing our bikes.
On arrival, we were met by Julianna and Tony, who made us feel very welcome, explained how everything worked and left us with a lovely gift basket of food and drink goodies.
Taunton itself is a 5 minute drive away and we found a handy carpark at the back of Vivary Park (Fons George car park), which meant you could have a lovely walk through the park and the into the main shopping area. Taunton has plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes etc and some lovely river walks.
The location of Apple Tree Barn is perfect for exploring Somerset, Dorset and surrounding areas, with Lyme Regis on the South Coast and Watchet on the Bristol Chanel Coast both around 40 minutes away. Drives through Exmoor were stunning (The Royal Oak in Exmoor was a fantastic pub). We also visited various other towns and villages, such as Lynton, Porlock and Monkton (can highly recommend the Monkton Inn pub with its African inspired menu).
Would thoroughly recommend the Apple Tree Barn.

A lovely property in a perfect area for a week away with family and friends. Apple Tree Barn was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully kitted out to a very high standard - definitely had a luxury feel to it! Julianna and Tony were so welcoming and helpful and had thought of everything we could possibly need; the hot tub, robes, slippers and sunny garden just added to the sense of a relaxing break away. Based in a tiny quiet hamlet we were able to enjoy amazing nightly star and comet viewing not possible in London. With the Mendips, Quantocks, Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills all nearby there is no shortage of beautiful walks, views and pubs gardens to visit. Thank you Julianna and Tony, we hope to return soon!

A wonderful place to stay, has all your needs, which includes a great hot tub. The barn is beautifully renovated and feels very homily. Julianna is very welcoming, and helpful. Would highly recommend staying there.

Apple Tree Barn is fantastic! Incredibly clean, everything you need for a luxurious weekend, and beautiful countryside all around. My only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer. A real gem!
