Bulverton House, 5 Star Self Catering Accommodation in Sidmouth, East Devon

We recently thoroughly enjoyed a first class one-week break in the Samson Suite at Bulverton House.

We were two couples travelling and the Suite was perfectly laid out for comfort and privacy. We were tempted to spend most of our holiday enjoying the sunny garden and all the indoor amenities such as huge TV in lounge (and one each in our bedrooms!), soaker bathtub, enormous well-equipped kitchen and king-sized beds.

The wifi was reliable and very much appreciated. We did manage to tear ourselves away and explore the timeless, unchanging charms of Sidmouth but it was always a treat to head home to Samson in the evening.

Bulverton House's location was ideal for us. It was both convenient and peaceful. A scenic 15-minute stroll from the centre of town. Parking was plentiful and our hosts were discreet but also always available if needed. The grounds were simply and tastefully landscaped. I'd say that sums up Bulverton - tasteful luxury and simply delightful.

We're very much looking forward to a return visit!

Owner met us on arrival and showed us into the suite to guide us on the facilities and appliances. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was provided which was very welcome. Suite is very well presented with quality fittings and the decorating looked very clean and smart.

One big bonus was the courtyard garden with an attractive gazebo positioned to enjoy a breakfast cuppa in the sun. Table, chairs, and two patio umbrellas made the courtyard very flexible in use.
Owner was very helpful with local knowledge, and suite is within walking distance to Sidmouth along the pavement. This made a nice change from having to take the car. Parking room on site was very good.
The quality of this suite and the high level of housekeeping makes this the best place we have ever stayed in. Fives stars are well deserved. Thanks for making our holiday great.

Having made a return stay in the Dulverton Suite, it was every bit as good as the first time and well deserved of it's 5 stars. The welcome from Geoffrey is very warm, the accommodation is excellent, to have your own little, private garden is a delight. We found we wanted for nothing, everything is there - and the bed is SO comfy. Should it be chilly, just turn up the thermostat and you will be warm in a trice. Your own designated car parking space too. Little things, but they all go to make a difference.

It is within easy reach of Sidmouth - walking distance if you are good on your feet! Also a good spot for exploring South Devon. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We have been back to Bulverton House for a third time now in less than 12 months, it has to be good to keep returning. Geoffrey's welcome warm as ever, the suite is still 1st. class, the Dulverton Suite is definitely worth all of it's five stars. We will, without a doubt go back again. Stayed a week in February in the Orlando Suite. Warm, very clean, furnishings as good as they look in the photos. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Bulverton House as a very good place to stay in Sidmouth. Very private , good WiFi and car parking space in the grounds.

Myself and my husband recently spent a week at Bulverton House in the Orlando Suite. From the off Geoff was the perfect host and very accommodating. We were very grateful to find teas, coffees and biscuits waiting for us after our long trip and the garden area was the perfect little oasis. I especially loved the large deep bath and the radio was a lovely touch. We loved it so much we are returning again in October.

Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped throughout, excellent finish in all respects, fully fitted kitchen area, comfortable beds, small private outdoor seating area with table, chairs and large sun umbrella. Allocated parking space, good location in north of Sidmouth, and a quiet spot. Nothing wanting in the way of accommodation, couldn't be better, pleasant helpful host on hand if needed, but no country views as in town suburbs location. Would stay again. PD.

Had a four night stay last week and had a wonderful time. Stayed in the Orlando Suite and it is furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable. Lovely private courtyard garden. Lovely location very peaceful and well equipped cottage. Very private not overlooked. Most comfortable bed. Very friendly owner Karen who greets you on arrival and talks you through everything. We came on our honeymoon and will definitely be back.
