Stayed here on a cycling break in November. Room was newly refurbished and just the job. Dry stable to store the bikes. Owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful . The cook came in extra early to cook us a fantastic breakfast the next day. Lovely remote location and a downhill start the next morning!

Under new Management Julie and Gareth were perfect hosts and have some exciting plans for the future. The rooms have been fully refurbished and were extremely comfortable and spotless with great facilities. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was the perfect start to the day with lots of choice. It's the perfect place for a relaxing break, with beautiful walks and a sky at night that has to be seen to be believed. We will definitely be going back 👌

I recently stayed here with five other biker mates. We all had a fab time and really enjoyed what this great little hotel has to offer. The service both in the bar and the breakfast room was first class. Our rooms were also very modern, clean and comfortable with all amenities at hand. The shower in our room was very effective and I have to say our all round experience at the hotel deserves nothing less than five stars. Thank you to the staff who looked after us so well, we look forward to staying with you again real soon. :)

Very friendly service, well organised and great food. Decent range of beers too. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the green room has a brilliant view over the hills. I'm sure we will be staying there again. Perfect if you are visiting to walk or bike in the mountains.

I have been to the star Inn 3 times now and I have never had a bad meal. The food is great the service is friendly and always with a smile. Really worth the drive to this little pub and for the romantics there are some lovely drives to view the amazing sunsets the area has to offer before or after your meal

Don’t go !!!!
I spoke to the owner in the morning asking about availability that evening for me and my dog. She said no problem, I then drove 200miles to find the place all locked up and nobody there. I then rang the same number from earlier that day to be told she wasn’t there and I couldn’t have a room !
As it was getting late and a poor signal I couldn’t find alternative accommodation we then and to try and sleep in the back of the van on the top of a mountain.
This was peak season in July !!! Very poor

What a pity it no longer is the beautiful 'pub" open also to locals and enabling other folk who did B&B to send their guests to you for evening meal as we are so remote here.
Also, sorry but the name Y Star doesn't work as it is neither in Cymraeg Saesneg, sounds moreike Tge Satair or could be mistaken for the stern but with a letter dropped off the end.

It just looks a little weird.
Hope you don't mind my saying.
