Overcharged, rude staff in Clitheroe branch and will not use again.

My wife took two car fobs in for a simple battery replacement. The batteries are coin cell CR2032 which cost less than £1 for Duracell. The employee did not quote or confirm a price. He proceeded to replace the batteries and after a few minutes he gave my wife her key fobs and said £30. She was very shocked and just paid him and left. She knew that the cost was excessive and rang me. I then rang the store and spoke to the shop manager to ask how they had managed to charge so much. He was unhelpful, rude, and was of no help. He just said that the price depended on the car, eg. she has an Audi TT so is charged more. Is this some form of joke ? They fit the same battery, but charge differently depending how expensive your car is ? The battery takes about 30 seconds to remove and replace. He did not offer to confirm a price, just did it. I explained that I though the cost was excessive and he should have confirmed the price beforehand. He just said its too late... the job has been done.
Disgusting service and attitude.
Strange strap line used by Timpson ..... Great Service by Great people.

I will never use this business again. My husband took his Tag watch in to have a battery fitted, last Saturday he was asked if it was firstly a genuine Tag - HOW RUDE!!! Secondly he was quoted £89 for the battery by an extremely rude person who told him that he’d have to pay £300 if he sent it to Tag - RUBBISH .I have taken the watch myself today and had excellent service from a nearby jewellers . I had excellent service from them and paid £15 for a battery. Please shop around and use independent businesses.

I went to the store, and was greeted by a young gentlemen who was eager to help from the moment I walked through the door.

I come in looking to get a replacement battery for my car key.

I was guided towards getting the correct battery which was fitted and working fine!

Thankyou very much and would encourage anyone to come here for any needs.

I took my Tag watch to Timpsons for a replacement battery as the watch indicated it was running low on power. The battery was replaced and I bought a lifetime battery warranty for £89.95.
About 12 hours later the watch stopped so I returned to Timpsons the next day where another battery was tried without success.
The member of staff then said that the watch needed servicing and that this would cost me at least a further £250.
When I pointed out that the watch had been running for 13 years without stopping before Timpsons involvement he became very defensive and said that the watch should have been serviced every two to three years and because the watch was working when I left the shop they were not liable. He indicated that it was only coincidence that the watch stopped working shortly after they had worked on it.
I asked for and was given a refund for the battery warranty and said that I would return to dealing with the manufacturer via a reputable dealer in future.

Genuinely cannot believe how rude the guy called Aidan was in this store this morning. I took some keys to be cut and he was mending a watch. Barely acknowledged me when I walked in. Asked for some keys to be cut and was told to come back in ten minutes. Came back ten minutes later and he was still fixing the watch. When I walked in he just ignored me and started messing about with some keys Nguni the counter. I said are they ready and he said no I haven’t started them yet as the watch I am trying to fix is causing me problems! Had to stand there and wait a further ten minutes whilst he cut them. No apology and a £28 bill for cutting four keys!
Will definitely not be returning.
