Chuckle Shoes

I'm delighted with my new handmade shoes... I have never worn shoes that are instantly as comfortable as these!! I try to go barefoot as much as I can, but when I need to wear shoes, these are just perfect. The soles have plenty of grip and the shoes are totally comfortable when worn with, or as I do, without socks These shoes are beautifully made and will last for years!! Just brilliant, we picked up my daughter's shoes on Saturday and they are nothing short of beautiful, no more nasty insert as it has all been built into the shoe, her legs and ankles now look perfect the quality of the shoe is amazing, very respectfully priced, every member of staff was absolutely lovely and the owner is a wealth of knowledge encapsulated in one of the most kindest and helpful people have ever met. Even my husband was so impressed that he has decided to have some boots made which is incredible for a man that hates shopping. All in all I left this magical little shop feeling quite emotional as my little girl skipped happily up the road letting out excited squeals at her beautifully made, super soft but very supportive shoes. Well done chuckles.

I have very wide feet so I ordered some made to measure shoes. They have been very helpful recommending me on a thicker leather. The shoes fit very well. I usually used to buy shoes too big for me to compensate for the width. I am very impressed with the overall experience.

Mr Chuckles serves me well with any alterations I need doing, by serving me on my scooter on the pavement as the shop is inaccessible. Although it can be a bit hazardous on that pavement in New Bridge Street, being narrow and steep, necessitating reversing back to Fore Street sometimes having to avoid the A-board placed outside the Cycle shop. Well worth the visit though.

As always they have kept my feet happy for the past 15 years plus.. He also repairs just about anything that can be stiched. And can make just about anything in leather.. Hardest part is choosing colour combination

Wow, what can I say? Having the most problematic feet possible the prospect of getting custom made boots is amazing. Barry is so knowledgeable he told me my feet problems without me saying anything and he was 100% correct even pointing out something I never realised. Endless array of colours and colour ways possible the only limit is your imagination.

Very friendly guy who works in the shop. A true professional and my wife's boots he made specially to her measurements looked great and she loves them.

Great shoes. Really took time to properly measure my sons feet and gave us lots of advice. My son has CP so this was a lot of help. Thank you so much.
