THE SO CALLED UPSCALE RETAIL SHOP, SHOULD ALSO EXPLICITLY STRESS ON THEIR WEBSITE AND SHOP DOORS THAT THEY ONLY ACCEPT AND WILL ONLY WAIT UPON AND ONLY SERVICE WHITE PEOPLE NOT PEOPLE OF OTHER ETHNIC BACK GROUNDS SUCH AS BLACK PEOPLE!!

TODAY AT ABOUT 0930AM, I WALKED INTO THE WINCHESTER BRANCH OF THE RUSSELL & BROMLEY, INTENDING TO PURCHASE SHOES. WHEN I WENT INTO THE SHOP THEY WERE TWO WHITE WOMEN BEING SERVICED BY FOUR SALES ASSISTANTS. I WAITED TO BE SERVED, AND WHEN FINALLY THEY COULD DRAG THEMSELVES FROM THEIR CHATTER, WHATEVER I WANTED WAS FAR TOO MUCH FOR THEM AND IT WAS AS IF I WAS A GREAT NUISANCE TO THEM, AND THEY COULDN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF ME, SO THEY COULD GET BACK TO SERVICING AND CHATTING TO THEIR PREFERRED CUSTOMERS.

GOT HOME VERY UPSET ABOUT THE DESPICABLE EXPERIENCE I HAD HAD, AND SPOKE TO THE DEPUTY MANAGER CALLED LIBBY, SHE WAS AS ABOUT AS HELPFUL AS A WET TOWEL. TELLING ME THAT SHE HAS TO CONTACT HER HEAD OFFICE TO KNOW WHAT TO DO REGARDING THE RACIAL DISCRIMINATION TREATMENT I HAD HAD IN THE SHOP THIS MORNING......WHAT TYPE OF A MANAGER NEEDS TO ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO DEAL WITH A COMPLAINT AND HAS NO EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE IN HOW TO SUPPORT A CUSTOMER WITH THEIR COMPLAINT....DESPICABLE PLACE...I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!

I didn't go in, the shoes are a ridiculous price, only a fool with more money than sense would shop here

Love Russell and Bromley, they have excellent fitters and the service is always professional and friendly. Up until this year I always used the one in Salisbury (now closed) but the one in Winchester is every bit as good - if not better - and I would not get my children's school shoes anywhere else. The quality is second to none and you know they are well fitted, unlike the other well known brand who always measure wrong with iPads and try and fob you off with the wrong size.

I was returning a pair of children's school shoes that had loose stitching. They were replaced immediately and without any question. Very pleased with the service.

My favourite shoe shop for adults and children. Quality shoes that always fit properly. My all time go to shop.

We bought the shoes you can see on the below photos for term start September 2021. The first pair actually out of the box already had the sole separating from the shoe so we returned them immediately as they were unworn.

The staff was very friendly and professional and exchanged the faulty shoe with the same model. Unfortunately the sole of the below shoe came loose very soon after around Halloween. Only just now had the time to post a review.

Whilst the shoe fitters and staff are friendly the quality of this particular shoe is very disappointing especially for the price tag.
