Precious Soles

Both my daughters wear orthotics and this shop is always so helpful. Today a young guy working whilst home from uni helped us, knew what he was doing and was excellent 👏 👍

I never write reviews but I was so impressed today that I felt I must show my appreciation.

I’ve used this shop over the years for both my children and latterly myself to buy a pair of trainers to walk a marathon. I have always found everyone very helpful.

Today I brought my mum to see you, we did not have an appointment but we’re seen very quickly. The lady we saw was kind and extremely knowledgeable. Even though the shop became quite busy we didn’t feel rushed. We were there for over an hour.

My mum is very active but recently has been struggling with her mobility. The lady identified the problem just by seeing her walk and the fact she is now moving more comfortably has made her so happy. My son and dad could immediately see the improvement in her.

I can’t thank you enough.

My son’s right leg is anatomically different to his left, and currently around 4.5 cm shorter than his left one. He’s worn shoes adapted with raises for many years.

August 2020 he was needing new shoes for returning to school. Precious soles worked very hard to find him a pair that fitted well and stayed firmly on his feet given the prescription for raising the right shoe that we had.

They also helped me and my son see shortcomings in the way the trainers he was wearing had been raised, leading to them, in fact, being very unstable.

I chose to use the Precious Soles’ service for raising the new school shoes. The work was superior in functional quality and in appearance to all previous raises my son has had in the last 5 or 6 years at least.

During the Autumn term, my son walking through waterlogged fields to and from school, the Precious soles shoe raise needed no repair; all previous ones have needed at least one re-gluing over the winter months.

Now, February 2021, the raise on the Precious Soles shoes remains very solidly attached and looks as good as new (shown in the attached photo).

We had such a wonderful experience today buying shoes for my hyper mobile toddler. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and professional, they showed so much care and gave us as much time as we needed. The store is covid safe, with guidelines followed perfectly as well as all surfaces, seats and measuring guides cleaned between customers.
I know we are in safe hands when we shop at precious soles.

Always use here for my children’s shoes as trust them to make a good measurement and honest recommendations. Always find it reassuring when a fitter rejects shoes that aren’t a good supportive fit, even though the size on the label reads the correct size. Shoes aren’t the cheapest brands, but I have always been pleased that they’ve lasted, as with 2 primary school aged boys they do lots of scrambling and football, plus seem to find mud and puddles everywhere.

We love this place, so much so we travel from the Isle of Wight to have shoes fitted there. Learning that the kids were going back to school we tried the old shoes and trainers on and they were too tight. I was due to travel to our business to do some work so I scheduled a shoe fitting in at the same time.

Making an appointment was easy and the process was easy and felt very Covid secure and we walked out with a pair of school shoes and a pair of trainers. It’s the first time we’ve bought trainers there and apparently she’s faster at running now 😂

First time at Precious Soles with my 5 yr son. The team is so professional and super friendly. They were so nice to my son... Second time at precious soles with my 5yo son who is hyper mobile. Highly recommend - there is no where else like this. We had an appointment with the paediatric podiatrist and then a fitting. The team are excellent and very reassuring. They did a proper fitting and we left with school shoes and trainers that will make all the difference to his stability over the coming months of wear.
