We’ve been so impressed with this school and how they’ve not only handled the Covid lockdown (live lessons immediately, 5 per day for all year groups, and loaning out laptops and WiFi plug ins) but also how they’ve handled the return to school. Absolute nonsense from Keisha10, regarding the school not being safe. I have two boys at the school. The school have sent out comprehensive guidance to families, with a really precise safety plan. As per govt guidance all students and staff wearing masks inside the building between lessons and in common areas and removing in lessons, as per give guidance. Any child with medical reasons can get permission to wear a mask. I’m 7 months pregnant and both my boys are allowed to keep masks on in lesson to reduce risk to me also. The level of safety and care given by the Head and Staff to ensure that school is as safe as possible to return has been phenomenal. If our country was run as well, and as safely as Kingsley, we’d be in a much better place.

The reputation of this school will take time to improve but I can say with hand on heart having had my daughter attend the Heathland previously that Kingsley is light years ahead of other schools and can easily hold its own these days. I didn’t choose it for the boys due to reputation of the past and when they didn’t get into the Heathland (their sister had left) I (and they) was a bit dismayed. However the quality of education has been impressive. Some of the best teaching, amazingly polite and well behaved kids (and I’ve been on tours in normal school days too and asked to see the behaviour area and a typical lunch time).

This school is a really warm and friendly place. It’s led really well by the (new-ish) Head and his team and is now doing really well. Don’t discount it and absolutely ignore the ridiculous comments of it not being safe re: Covid. If anything they’ve gone the extra distance to keep everybody safe!

Whilst I don't wish to slander individuals in my valuable time, I will say that the senior leadership here lack character. Robotic one might say! The public eye perception is all that matters. The children feel they are in a military regime from what I've gathered and it isn't hard to believe!!

so far the school doesnt seem that great. Expensive food that is not worth its money, a few quick to anger teachers and cold classrooms. Good things are the variety of subjects to use but not lessons in subjects, been learning same thing for 2 years now

Horrible school. Worst I ever attended. The staff like to pick favourites and you would get sent to the SSC/IER for irrelevant reasons for 6 hours. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!

I worked here in the past and found it to be a toxic atmosphere, 80% of teachers are happy to plod along with no real passion, behind closed doors I experienced quite a lot - senior staff instilled fear rather than respect into the students. To summarise on the educational aspect, I wouldn't send my kids there.
As for senior management, it's a dictatorship with no space for opinion, change or any feedback, they have small 'cliques' and I witnessed bullying amongst staff in some capacity. I dealt with these very same people daily while I was there and my morale slowly deteriorated as there is no element of compassion.
Overall, KGA isn't a pleasant place and this review is coming from someone who engaged with every department on a daily basis.

A really great place to work; the bond between students and teachers is a real strength and there is a real warmth and care that is so special. I have worked here as a temporary member of staff here and covered two known absences in two different departments for over 10 months all told. As a temporary member of staff sometimes in schools you are not treated well but not the way here. Behaviour was immaculate and the principal and the senior teachers were visible, supportive and really compassionate when I had a challenging personal situation during my second time there. A lovely school - easily one of the best I’ve worked in in years.

Excellent school, the teachers are very engaged with the students as they know each and every pupil very closely thus having a deeper relationship with students to help them overcome their difficulties. This is a unique trait compared to other local schools. My son joined the school four years ago, when the newly built school required improvements. The latest Ofsted is "Good", and I am pretty sure the next Ofsted will be outstanding. The school has immense potential to become the best school in Hounslow where new Year 7 children will have an extremely bright future.

the senior leadership team only care about how the school looks to the public rather than caring about the mental health and well-being of their own students. don’t send your children here!
