Both my children went there, and my daughter left with 4 A-levels, all A grade or above. Son is still there, on-track for good GCSEs this year. Very supportive learning environment, with **very** hard-working teachers. Sometimes it seems that it tries to do too much, and runs in too many directions all at the same time. Communication can be a bit rubbish, with some letters and planning arriving at the last minute. However, you can't fault the commitment, and the focus on all the students, not just high-achievers.

Is there any news about the young pupil who got stabbed in the stomach? Is this incident indicative of a more serious underlying issue within the school or simply an isolated incident? It seems insensitive to bury this without updates as all children who attend this school are affected..

Great facilities. The school guarantees your child will get a minimum grade C in core subjects. It's brilliant at music and performing arts.
But it advertises itself to be much better than it actually is and don't expect them to keep their promises.

This is a wonderful school. The food is healthy and nutritious. The trips are fun and well planned.Teachers are patient and kind to students and the extra curricular activities offer a wide range of opportunities for pupils to fulfil their dreams.

A good school if you are willing to put the work in. There are plenty of teachers that will do whatever it takes to help you succeed and others who need to quit and change profession rather than being moody and enforcing absurd rules that have not been agreed upon throughout the staff. I want to thank Mrs Howell, Mrs Jaffer and Miss Ogu who impressed and inspired me.

This is a great school on the mixed super comprehensive model serving the whole community with superb facilities, excellent teaching and management. Outstanding music, drama and humanities departments.

I worked at this school for a few years and left last year. The SEN department was overseen by an overbearing deputy headmistress that made running the department for my managers impossible. I didn't leave because of this but it made life difficult and there far too few teaching assistants. It doesn't, or at least didn't then, give the support that it advertises.
