Sofa Workshop by Timothy Oulton - St Albans

Guys, this no word of a lie, I was bowled over by the service we got when we visited this place.

Me and my wife were looking for fabrics for a sofa and we decided we would go through every single one they had(!) That's quite an undertaking because they have hundreds; but on the other hand if you are spending that kind of money, you want to get it right, am I right?. So, anyway, first off Louise, who works there, gets us stools and clears the desk so we can sit down and have a decent space to ourselves to do it, and away we go.

Guys, in case you don't know, choosing fabrics is intense work and after about an hour of it I was ready for a break. I was just about to ask Louise where a local coffee shop might be, and she comes over and says "would you like a coffee?". Reeeeeeeesult! Not only did she make us one each, but she brought over some cakes - fondant fancies, they were! Fantastic! We spent about 10 or 12 minutes eating and drinking and chewing the cud with Louise, and then we went at it again for another, say, 45 minutes. As we did all this, we had questions, and Louise was right there with the answers. She did not get in our way, neither did she try to "sell" us. What she did was she kept on coming up with answers to our questions quickly and accurately. Great! That is what I want when I am choosing stuff!. Anyway, by the end we had narrowed it down to 4 possibilities and with her help we got it down to one - the one! With her assistance we did this humungous and painful job in under two hours, and rather than feeling drained and bored by it, we both felt good afterwards. I was totally impressed. I hate shopping, but this was *really* OK.

Great team , very supportive and helpful , I can’t thank Philip and the lovely two ladies enough , they are very friendly and you feel very welcome , I have been coming all the way from Peterborough to this store because of that .

Really good store with a big selection of sofas and accessories. Philip was brilliant at guiding us through all of the options and kept us amused with his dry sense of humour throughout. We’ll shortly be ordering a number of items to make use of the bank holiday discount.
