Bott Handmade Sofas Ltd

We got a sofa made by Shaun which arrived just before Christmas. The fabric we chose was a very difficult pattern to match up as the pattern was not the same all over. When it finally arrived it exceeded our expectations by miles, not because we were worried that Shaun would not do a good job but because of our choice of fabric. The sofa is absolutely wonderful and so comfortable and looks perfect in our room. Through the whole process of the sofa being made Shaun was fantastic and covered every little detail of our requirements, we can honestly say hand on heart we would not use any other company to make a sofa should we need another and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Shaun for making us very happy.

When we first started to shop for sofas…
When we first started to shop for sofas we were unsure of the style and fabric design. Shaun Bott was very patient as we mixed and matched sofa styles to design our own, and went through 18 plus fabric books, constantly changing our minds!
We wanted to maximise the seating capacity so Shaun built a bespoke sofa that fitted our space.
Once chosen Shaun went through the finish. One of our fabrics has a pattern & Shaun has matched the cushions to the arms and sides so that the pattern symmetrically flows through. The finish is perfect and the attention to detail in incredible.
The sofas are very comfortable and we are really really pleased with them.
We also bought a “Love Seat” for our daughter which needed transportation to London. Shaun went out of his way to help us source transport despite this not being his problem.
With Lockdown we could not take immediate delivery so Shaun kindly stored them until we were ready.
Shaun has given us exceptional service throughout the process and we would highly recommend him.

Absolutely brilliant! Shaun could not have been more helpful, from his patience through the process of us choosing fabric, his practical help in sorting the best configuration for our needs through to delivery and overcoming access problems with our narrow front door. We first had a three piece suite made by Mr Bott twenty years or more ago to replace factory build furniture that had lasted only a few years before falling apart. He spent a lot of time helping us choose both the style of the suite and fabric used on that occasion. Beyond any anticipated expert advice, to our surprise, he also talked about variations in the design and build to suit the chairs to our individual heights. This was something we had not even considered possible. Mr Bott built handmade chairs that suited us perfectly.

After two decades resisting the fair wear and tear of family life; including several cats; the fabric was looking a little worn, although it was still more than functional. We had no hesitation in returning to discuss recovering the suite to freshen it up. The original structural build was obviously still more than good enough to outlast its gradually aging owners and the next phase of its own life.

We are very happy to be sitting comfortably on a smart three piece suite with a contemporary style of upholstery again. Mr Bott is a friendly artisan craftsman and his products and service reflect his personal interest in producing quality furniture that is built to last.

From first consultation with Shaun, to delivery of our beautiful four piece suite it was the best shopping experience we have ever encountered.
