The Cleve

We recently booked The Cleve for a family event. The staff went out of their way to make our day very special. Food was excellent and value for money and a beautiful location / setting and great facilities. We will now have to think of another excuse to come back for another event!

Having been before a few times to the spa, today was a big disappointment. Far from a relaxing spa day. We booked for a Ivy spa morning. The steam room did not work properly and had toe nail trimmings on the floor! The sauna did not get very hot and some of the wooden slats were loose. The spa in general did not appear overly clean, considering we were the only ones here and came at 9am. Additionally, the "fluffy" robes were rough and uncomfortable, the spa slippers were a major hazard and slippery in places, one of us nearly slipped down the stairs! Overall, definitely not worth the £55 paid!

I visited with a friend for coffee and refreshments and have done on a few occasions now, so I've only experienced the Garden Coffee House. It's a wonderful and relaxing place with a lovely atmosphere in a hidden setting. Shapna looked after us beautifully - she's incredibly attentive and greets you with a beautiful smile as you walk in.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, nor have I experienced any spa treatments...yet!

Had a really lovely afternoon tea today as a birthday treat.
We were served by Shapna who was so helpful and made our day relaxing and enjoyable. Will certainly be returning to try other meals and facilities.
Would highly recommend.

After a great workout in the Cleave gym and a few lengths in the pool it's always good to pop in to the Garden Cafe for coffee and cake. Shapna is always the perfect host and always delivers a very professional and friendly service.

My friend and I had lunch here recently. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming staff, especially Shapna and Sue. Nothing was too much trouble!

Sadly we have visited 3 times for food, first time order wrong, staff pleasant, 2 nd order wrong rude staff and today rude staff and apparently kitchen closed even though says open online. Give up! It’s a shame as food when they get it right is lovely. And see why it’s often empty.
