Fantastic Experience. Highly recommended. Took a group of 8, 5 adults and three 9 yr olds, on this experience today. Adam and Charlie were fantastic. The day started at 10am and finished at 3pm. We were taught how to handle and shoot longbows and had a variety of different targets and games to play throughout the day. Lunch was provided. For most people, the history lesson given all the way round would be great, for me not so much, but take nothing away from Adam, his delivery of the experience was first class. Many thanks!

Absolutely amazing. Even though I hadn't done 6 much woodwork before, I made my own laminate longbow. It's a beautiful bow and shoots so well. After attending a couple of fabulous Longbow Immersion days through Now Strike, I signed up for the 2d 'Make Your Own Laminate Longbow' course. If you've not been on one these hugely enjoyable days are literally immersive longbow shooting set within an historic atmosphere of the medieval archers of the 100 years War. After this I just had to learn how to make my own bow.
Over two days I was guided through all of the stages from taking a glued stave and crafting to making a 'full compass' longbow, based on the traditional Mary Rose template.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the chat was good, the tea flowed. I was well supervised without being micromanaged.
The course was run by Adam, who is hugely knowledgeable and very willing to pass on the tricks of this medieval trade.
The finished bow is an absolute joy, has a mean draw but is also beautiful to look at - and to hold. I needed some extras to get me started so bought the hand and wrist protectors and also a set of handmade medieval-style arrows - all of which Adam was able to supply. I just know those arrows are going to go astray so I'll probably need to sign up for the medieval arrow making course! They also do a smithing course to make your arrow tips.
A big thanks to Adam and to Now Strike. I'll book another Longbow Immersion day during summer. Now... I can't wait to give that bow a good workout.

A 1 day Blacksmith Experience, had a super good time making a Bushcraft Tripod/Pot Hanger for the ole outdoor cooking. Really pleased with the results and finished, Adam was very friendly and switched on with contacting me ASAP and Greg the Blacksmith was very patient giving good hints and tips to help me. Absolutely Spot on All Round

Smashing day out, with the Immersive Experience. The staff went above and beyond to Portray the Era and make it fun and exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and had some great laughs with the others who were present. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an Interest in History truly a great day well spent!

Great day! I was given one of their black smithing experiences as a gift.... I didn't know what to expect but Greg took me and another young lad.. step by step through everything. I just thought we would be making a straight fire poker or something.... but ended up with a fantastic toasting fork!

Excellent time with a Longbow. Almost hit the knot, and managed the target a few times. The flag actually got worried with my arrows. Great value for money.

Had a full experience day. In short, can’t be happier to become fully immersed into a trip back to Crecy as a longbow archer. By shooting at various targets of different ranges, alongside battle background stories introduced stage by stage, even people who had no knowledge nor interest in history would acquire a lot from this day. It is a decent workshop in field to understand some social history(yes, way more than purely military perspective) back in the Middle Ages through an iconic character then. And surprisingly, it is easier than I thought to pick up archery at the entry level. I can clearly see my precision and accuracy improved into the afternoon after a morning’s practice. What a memorable day! Don’t hesitate to try it.

I got my husband an 1346 Experience Day and it was so much fun!! From the Tabards to the tasty food and of course learning how to use a medieval long bow the day was jam packed with history and excitement. My husband says it’s the best birthday present he’s ever gotten and I had so much fun as a spectator just taking photos and hanging out. Would 100% recommend and do dress up because it’s so much more fun that way!
