I went for hijama, after my husband had a really great session with Humayu. Diana was polite and set the right atmosphere. However, the hijama session itself was disappointing. For my body type, the incisions she made was much too small and consequently resulted in no blood being drawn out. There are no indications of the incisions on my back one day after the session whilst my husband’s incisions were visible for up to a week after his session. Despite requesting that she puts a cup on my head, she left this to the last minute because she admitted that she found the head a difficult place to do, did not apply the suction at the correct place and gave up trying to draw any blood when the cup would not hold. At the end of the treatment, her only explanation was dehydration and whilst I and most people could benefit from drinking more water, I don’t agree that this was the sole reason why there was no blood flow. I regularly donate blood and have no issue with this. I have also had hijama many times with other therapists, with great results. The reason for this failed hijama session is mostly down to not applying the right suction and superficial incisions for my body type. I recommend Diana has another more experienced therapist supervise her practice before she takes on other clients on her own as she lacks confidence and the skills to make the incisions correctly.

She has also ignored my call and the message which I sent to her directly, and her husband has messaged my husband instead which was confusing to us. His response to my husband was dismissive and undervalued us as clients. I find this highly unprofessional.

I've had 2 hijama session with Humayu. Both coming off very painful injuries from heavy lifting in the gym. I'm extremely satisfied with the sessions. He's attentive to problem areas and very focused. The service is not rushed unlike others I've been to and I recovered very quickly. He always gives advice on how to strengthen the weak areas as well. Thanks so much!
