Sports Direct

Rude manager, company has an outdated returns policy. Tried to return a pair of trainers. These have changed in design compared with the last 5 or so pairs I have purchased. They are now too narrow to be any use (probably even for narrow feet).

They will only give credit notes or exchanges. The manager tried to act like this is clearly displayed on the receipt (which you only get after purchase) but also the door and tills. It turns out there is a tiny sticker next to the door stating this, but it is in small print font, clearly designed and positioned low down so you won't see it, especially if the doors are open.

I will probably just use up my credit note on some low risk clothing as it's easier than complaining, but given Amazon offers a superior experience in every way, I will never shop with any company like this again when they offer a poor customer service experience.

You need to move into the current century and stop being rude to your customers. If you had of given me a refund, I was going to look to purchase a better quality pair of walking foot ware. Plus some additional items. You’ve just done yourself out of some business, seems like a dumb policy to me.

went in today to the till at about 3.10pm (downstairs) spoke to the female who had been sorting things at one side of the till who then went on the till. she barely acknowledged me during the discussion then gave me my product and immediately walked away saying nothing.. I have never known such rudeness.!! she clearly didn't want to serve me and it was a great inconvenience to her. Its not like I was arguing or confrontational in any way if anything I was overly nice, whiteley store

Would score minus if possible. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING WITHOUT TRYING ON AND SURE YOU WANT ITEM AS NO REFUND. You are given credit note. Sign by till did not see. Asked asst about sports bra sizes told normal size, did not fit when tried on at home.
Think online ordering may return but you cover cost of postage. Don't think I will ever use this company again not worth it when there are other options.

Waited for 15 mins for an assistant to sever me with a pair of trainers never came so they lost out on £100 I’ll buy them on line

Have had to ring this store to get stock of an item. Very helpful on phone unlike Southamtpon central who are just useless.

This is a good place to come if you want to purchase discounted sports goods. Place is a bit of a mish mash everywhere - not much structure to the place but clothing downstairs and sports equipment upstairs. There is a lift at the rear of the store if you need to use that instead of the stairs. Their smart shoes are good value. Have bought several pairs here.

Great range of affordable clothing, shoes, trainers and (some) equipment.
My only gripe is that sometimes the quality can vary and also sizes.....I've had expensive trainers last month's, when the originals have lasted years and sizes can sometimes be off

If you're after a brand trainer, look ok here first to save a few nuggets!

I would suggest sending a couple of your team over to JD Sports for some training on customer service. I went to JD before coming to your store. They were packed in contrast to your quiet store but the customer service was above and beyond. They even suggested I come over to Sports Direct for goalie gloves for my son as they didn’t have any. In contrast I had to ask 2 staff where they were who just gestured to the general direction (they weren’t even busy). It was pretty obvious I was struggling with a 3 yr old. I could’ve done with a bit of help finding what I needed. The woman I asked seemed put out that I had even asked for help.
