I really cant thing of any reason why I would want to go into a WH Smiths store. In a digital world I dont need books, magazines or stationary. Suggest that this will be the next brand to leave the High Street as it has become largely irrelevant (and empty of customers)

I only had a short visit to this WHSmith outlet store today. I found that despite it being an outlet, they stocked everything you'd expect from any other WHSmith store. They had a large selection of bottled bottled drinks and packaged food, as well as magazines.

I spotted what I was looking for almost instantly (it was near the front door) and I was quickly seen at the tills. Although the area could have been a bit more tidy.

Solid place for standard stationary and cheap art supplies. Generally a less good selection for more expensive things except pens. They have lots of fairly pricey fountain pens. This selection does not extend to mechanical pencils.

Perfectly decent store with a good range of products. However a lot of the stationery such as notebooks, diaries and address books is grouped by design, rather than by type of product. This means if you go in looking for a particular product (e.g. an address book, as I was), you have to look around several places in the store to compare the different options available in the different patterns, which is a bit frustrating. I was slightly dismayed by the range of products available. I did not end up buying an address book in the end, as I could not find one, other than a miniscule one, with an individual section for each letter of the alphabet - all the address books I found seem to have grouped sections of 2-3 letters in one section (i.e. instead of an A section, then a B section, they had an AB section then a CD section, or, worse, an ABC section then a DEF section), which doesn't work for me as it makes it too hard to find people. It would be good if WHSmith offered more of a range of different internal designs on products like address books, rather than just different covers but with the same/similar design inside on them all, recognising that different customers will have different preferences.

WHSmith is for everything stationery except furniture. Newspapers, magazines, books, pens and the Post Office inside. I have bought various items, rarely have I not found what I needed. Operates both a counter service and self - checkout. Town parking within a quarter of a mile.

This store is a little old and tired. Good range of greetings cards and magazines, but little else to attract you to the store. Tills are surrounded by on-offer sugary snacks. Self-serve tills badly thought out (exit back out through the queue). Very occasionally I remember that the store has an upstairs section.

Slow! Really good range of stationary and greeting cards.... But the tills were slow. Did self serve in the end, needed an assistant and they took forever to come over.

Love the refurbishment, looks amazing. My go to shop for greetings cards, magazines, books and so much more.
