No big experience. Several times went to buy stuff and did a self-service payment. Staff smiled but nothing else. Overall no complain.

The cashier's attitude stinks to be perfectly honest. I feel like calling in to complain. I asked a perfectly reasonable question and she actually scoffed at me, and did the opposite of what I asked, seemingly out of spite? I was so miffed, when I got home I told someone about it, they then described the girl to a T, and was told they've had a similar experience with her. Shows me she has no regard for the customer experience, I won't be going back. Was too lazy to even hand me the vouchers I'm typically given after I make a Smith's purchase, didn't ask me if I wanted a bag even though I clearly didn't have one. To be honest the more I'm writing the more peeved I'm getting. I shouldn't be made to feel stupid or uncomfortable for a simple request.

0 stars if I could.

Went today to get storage boxes. The guy that helped me could not be more helpful. Made my day. I love that there is still amazing customer service out there. Thank you WH SMITH guy. 10/10 ☺

The man who served me was very nice. There is a good mix of stationery as well as books. The shop also sellls cold drinks at reasonable prices. It is a good place to shop if you want to read the latest thriller or want okay-looking stationery. The Sales Assistants are just lovely and take the time to speak to the customers. They take the time to make conversation and ensure that people are served and treated properly.

One of the worst shop to visit or, buy from. I have placed an order on their website and walked in after receiving an email from WHSmith to advise that my order is ready for collection. There was no one to help and after waiting over 12 minutes, a chap turned up and behaved in a very rude manner with me.
I said hi, he said how can I help
I asked for my order, he just walked away and ignored me
I waited another five minutes, he came back, and asked to see the email. I did show him the email on my smart phone and waited for him to come back with my order. However, few minutes later, he said, I do not see your order "Mohamad" come back later.
I did ask to see his manager but, he sent me the security guard, who astonishingly asked me to leave the shop.
Try amazon.co.uk for shopping and ignore completely this WHSmith shop or their online store.

Not wheelchair friendly, took my mother in for a book, while trying to manuvour around a dumpbin by the tills the large pricing poster dropped and while I parked the chair and picked it up twice, the staff stood watching while chatting to eachother. To much of a nightmare to attempt gettin to the next isle so we left.

I tried to refund books purchased on WH Smith website but was refused because I did not have a printout of the order confirmation email. I was able to show the confirmation email on my phone and provide the order number. However, that was not sufficient in the 21st century WH Smith store. They need a physical copy and they cannot print it themselves either. Shambles!
