Awful customer service. Went there to buy something no hello no thank you and did not even tell me the total. Second time again the same cashier, Linda, was extremely rude when the post office sent me downstairs to get some sellotape to stick on a return envelope. Whilst talking to her manager raising a concern about her poor service, she felt the need to intervene a couple of times rather than avoid a confrontation. I’ve been in retail management for years and she would not last one day with me. Also, to confirm other reviews, it rarely opens on time...

I avoid going there unless I have too, staff miserable and unhelpful. Comment on one visit "I am glad you have to bring your own bag, I don't have to pack your stuff". Last time I was there, while paying, 2 off the staff were discussing something on one of their mobile phones, said phone between myself and the server! Perhaps it is hard working there, as it is poorly lit.

Overpriced and badly organised shop. Very limited range of stationery and even more limited book selection. You'll be lucky to find the exact thing you're looking for. Shop floor is often messy with goods left in the aisles. It's also very hard to find any staff to help you in the shop. Just get what you need online basically.

Due to Covid, there is a queue system. So often you see a queue in front of the shop. However, the queue is mostly for upstairs post office.
I suggest, let people in for downstairs with like 6 people limit, then let upstairs people in for again like 6-10 people because most of time nobody is in the downstairs, why do you need to queue if you just go to downstairs shop to buy magazines etc.

So post office, today is Saturday and there was only 1 person working inside the counter. So I waited like 30 mins with a woman just cut in front of me at the entrance queue pretending not to notice me there ( she did not even check so I am sure she knew I was there).
Post office guy was very efficient and he was doing his best. However just queue was too long. He was saying something like his employer does not care to bring people in for Saturdays because it will cost money to bring people in? Not sure how the post office profit is made, but for the service point of view, it is not great and make me feel like using alternative services like collect plus/DHL/Hermes. So better think again to have that long queue on busy days.

I have to say that when I first moved here around two and a half years ago I didn't find this store very friendly or helpful however over the last year I have only ever found every one to be much more upbeat, helpful and in particular yesterday when I went in to shop and use the post office. Every one was so helpful and engaging. So thank you to all the staff there for my lovely shopping experience.

Just called to ask for a stock check on a product. I was told “no” and the staff member hung up on me. So rude.

Staff have clearly been doing their best at busy time of year and after postal strikes etc. I witnessed a customer being very rude and disrespectful which was sad to see as all staff I experienced have been polite and helpful.

I went to the post office in Forest Hill today Saturday 5June after looking on line it stated not busy and that it closes at 5.30pm but it was already closed at 2.30. This is not acceptable as It clearly states open on Saturday until 5.30 pm. WH Smith was open on the ground floor.
