Tesco Express

Not very good. .brought lottery ticket..had to ssan debit card twice as cashier not paying attention, then lottery ticket machine stewed up ticket as cashier had forgot to change lottery ticket roll..didn't get apology..what ever happened to customer service.

This place has some really nice produce but 1/2 the staff are just really really unhelpful. This is the 5th time I have walked in to get a monster (16+ product...I am 22) and they have refused to sell it to me without an ID. Fair enough that it’s the law but when they ask me to bring it in EVERY SINGLE TIME I want a monster (which I have had to go home and fetch it and come back), it’s just unreal. This time I spoke to the manager and tried to explain I am a foreigner and the only valid I have is my foreign passport that I really cannot afford to lose to which she didn’t care and that she didn’t care, I must carry my passport with me or she will refuse to serve me.

Then I twigged that there was a co op around the corner and I went there instead. They have lovely staff who are helpful and nice. So I think I will shop there from now on and only use Tesco as a second option if Co op is not stocking what I am looking for.

I really held off giving this review for the four previous times but this fifth time, coupled with the manager’s cold and uncaring and even a little rude attitude, I’m just not going to hold my opinion anymore. But 3 stars because, apart from these ID issues, I’ve had little problems with them

Lockdown number 3, middle of a pandemic - no-one in the shop wearing a mask bar ourselves - staff *or* customers! Find it difficult to believe everyone was exempt......!

Lovely staff, security guys always pleasant, always nice to be greeted when you walk in and when walking out. Thank you guys ☺️✌🏼

Staff ok last week just one thing does this Shop have a Costa Coffee ☕ machine?

Slow service even with two tills going. Not particularly friendly. Parking is a bit dodgy

The best service I’ve ever received in a Tesco thank you! I’ve just been served by Molly, the store was incredibly busy with all the staff under a lot of pressure but they were really nice kind and really helped me even thought what I asked for took a really long time to help me with. I’m really grateful thank you Molly! And the other staff.
