Tesco Superstore

It was okish, a bit annoying that there was more self service tills and fewer tills that were manned. I always feel nervous when needing change from the self service machines, they can mess up. It is a bit easier when you are actually served by someone at a till, you also get the friendly banter as well.
Dad and I managed to get what we needed.

It's a good Tesco, staff are helpful and the place is well stocked not a fan of the annoying self check outs mind you, layouts very good in this store compared to other Tesco stores,

Tesco mobile and clothing section is really good aswell, the store is a clean and tidy store and parking outside is off a decent size car park.

Disabled friendly

Went for a holiday shop with my friend, wanted to buy a bottle of wine and a bottle of Pimms along with a huge grocery shop. At the till they rightfully ask us for ID. My friend shows hers (which she pulls out of her police badge, she’s a police officer). The lady refuses to sell it to us because I didn’t have ID on me. I’m 29 and older than my friend who had ID. Ridiculous.

Yes 🙌🏻 new sushi bar opened up by Tesco’s. What an amazing choice of dishes from here. I went straight for the Bao bun’s. Korean pulled pork and spring onion, tasted amazing & prices are reasonable. Get yourself over there & see how fresh & tasty the meals that are available.

The 2 star rating is purely for the terrible running if the petrol station, where I use to live the petrol station there as in other places had 24hr pumps but Tesco's Clacton closes when they want, opens later then others and locks their pumps over night despite the petrol station advertises 24hr fuel. Is this Tesco making fun of people who live in Clacton or just pure laziness?? Get your act together Tesco's bosses

I have found most staff friendly and polite, however I have tried scan as you shop 3 times but have had my shopping searched all 3 times, it gets moved and pulled about and I find it embarrassing, I’m a bit of a misanthrope so don’t like much human contact so I thought that would be ideal way for me to shop, but now I find it impossible. BTW I’ve never stolen from a shop

Wanted to buy a new mobile so I went to Curry's PC world who wasn't helpful with little knowledge of the product so I went to Tesco.
Jamie in the mobile shop was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and polite.
It was very refreshing to have a salesperson take time to explain things to non techies like me.

Great parking. Great store, plenty of choice. Scan and shop. Lovely restaurant with great food and coffee.
