Went to the Cafe in this fairly new M&S tonight as they stay open til 7pm every weekday evening, which is good news, as most coffee shops round this area close by 5pm.

Served by a really lovely member of staff who made my mocha really well, only downside was, the tables although mainly cleared, none of them have been wiped, so I had to sit with my lovely drink at a very dirty table!

Limited free parking outside, & food hall downstairs has quite a good range of food, drink & household bits considering the size of the store, next time I'll look around the clothing sections, which look equally as good.

Friendly staff member, she helped us order an out of stock item online and told us when it would be ready to collect.

Well laid out and lovely clothes to browse. Not used the groceries section but endeavour to.

I came into your store at 1pm to purchase the dine in pizza deal and a few cocktails. As I approached the till, before I could even place down my items the short haired 60/70 year old in the havant store said to me ‘you’re going to need ID for that’ of which I reassured her I had. As the items were scanning through she said how it doesn’t work out to be the deal as one of the items isn’t included, but couldn’t work out which one wasn’t. Anyway, she then discovered that the s’mores pizza is actually a side instead of a pizza and requested I changed it to a pizza, at this point the que is building up and as I’ve walked away she’s said to me ‘hurry up there’s a big que’ which is only a fault of her own due to her being unaware of what’s included in the deal after asking several staff members, how is it acceptable to be spoken to like this? Also you can understand the confusion of the s’mores pizza being considered as a ‘pizza’ in the deal.

She then asks to me to display my ID of which size showed her my passport and she questioned my ID saying a passport is not a form of ID asking where my DOB is on it to which I pointed to.

This is totally unacceptable of staff members to not only be extremely unaware of the offers available but uncomfortably rude to not only myself but to other customers awaiting in the que. I will never return to this store again due to this experience having made me feel so undervalued and uncomfortable.

Lady was mid 60’s quite short and working on the till nearest the self checkout in the havant store at 1pm.

Approximately 3 weeks ago I visited the cafe in the Havant Branch of M and S, the staff behind the counter had a container of hazelnut spread which I believe was being used on focaccia bread. There were no allergen procedures in place. There was no separate area etc, the spoon/knife was just left on a plate. I made a complaint via email and received a generic reply, saying it would be dealt with internally . There was no real interest or shock . When you consider the deaths that have happened with Pret a manger and Natasha's Law in place now. My daughter was with me that day, she is highly allergic to hazelnut and carries an EpiPen. Shame on you M and S

We do normally like this cafe but disappointed today that although the food shelves were fully stocked it wasn’t possible to order a toastie at 4.15pm. Apparently it was too late. Maybe I’m being harsh, but although I understand that the team will want to start cleaning up towards the end of the day, refusing to heat this up did seem a little customer unfriendly. Perhaps understaffed or something similar but it was annoying as we believe the cafe doesn’t close until 5pm

The M&S store is great with both a good women/men/children clothes department and a food hall.
I'm unable to add a review to Solent Retail Park. The following is not M&S's fault.
This is a parking warning. You have only 2½ hours after which you'll get a parking ticket through the post. While that's normally plenty of time, remember this for peak shopping times like Christmas when you might visit several shops and perhaps stop for a coffee or lunch.

Small but a good selection, isles are very narrow best avoided if busy

Lack of customer service at POS. Staff look as though they dont want to be there. Got a nice jumper in the sale though.
