Asda Colchester Superstore

This supermarket is on my doorstep, I don't drive, and I still do not use the main store anymore!

It's often half empty, as you can see. Both the Click & Collect and delivery service are absolutely atrocious (I've lived here 5 years and decide to give them another chance every so often - I ALWAYS regret it). I have never had an order without items missing (not out of stock or substituted, just missing).

The checkouts are usually understaffed and the staff seem miserable (probably from all the customer complaints they have to listen to). The food quality is average at best.

They are priced similarly to Tesco or Morrisons. Save the stress and go there instead.

The only reason I enter the store at all now is for the pharmacy, which is almost as bad as the main store (but the only one in walking distance). I now don't leave until checking my meds as I regularly receive the wrong dosage or the wrong amount of tablets. Once I even received medication that wasn't mine (with someone else's name and address on the label).

This is, by far, the worst supermarket I have ever been to or ordered from.

Large store. Minus the fact the lunch meal fridges are on the way out past the tills? Very strange and kind of an issue I had to go through the tills to get the the fridge to then come back through the tills to pay? Maybe that's a normal thing everywhere?

Helpful staff stocked shelves! Cants complain really!

Worth a visit!

Cafe itself needs a revamp. It's clearly popular and the food was nice and a good price too but the area to pay has the menu sellotaped to the counter. I mean, it's a good place for it but looks so unprofessional considering you are a large supermarket. Table area was filthy too, not cleaned at all. I think it's great I can dine for cheap, but I wish I didn't feel so uncared for.

Has various recycling bins including clothes, shoes, mixed glass, drinks cartons, paper, etc. See photos.

PRIME Hydration - ASDA are exclusive stockist for PRIME Hydration but you can never get any as the night workers take it all to sell on, One member of staff gives it to his daughter who sells it at her school for £4 a bottle and even has a waiting list....The management are clearly complicit in this.

Thanks for coming back to me Tasha, I believe this has been dealt with as since my review suddenly what goes out at night is still there in the morning.....

It's a superstore and caters to most of one's needs from groceries, car wash, petrol pump, key maker to even a very nice barbershop.

The only supermarket where Christmas is cerebrated too all the staff at ASDA Colchester you have all done an an amazing job, Love the Christmas add xx # tag Cheers Mum x

I used to shop here every Tuesday as only 5 mins away from me my granddaughters birthday was coming up at the time and thought I could get her a nice dress I saw in there once got up the escalator found some clothes were not even on a hanger and half on the clothing area was empty and when I got to food section and found the heinz backed beans realized I wasn't bothering and they are almost over £2.00 and most of the food there is over priced for what your getting Belgium buns (2 pack)£4.57 not shopping here anymore.
