Sainsbury's

A good sized store but not easy to find from the A38 as it is within an industrial area but has ample parking.

Not the most conveniently located shop but I find it better stocked and staffed than most supermarkets around gloucester these days.

Decent array of clothes, pizza counter, deli, bakery, pharmacy and an argos which is very useful.

Decent smart scan system which is never busy

Cafe has been recently closed and state could do with a face-lift

My payment didn’t go through because the card had changed. The payment desk confirmed with the store they could still deliver in the window and they confirmed this. No order received between 1 and 2 so rang back. He rang the store who said it would be with me in 15 mins. Still didn’t arrived. Rang customer services she couldn’t get hold of the store. Asked for her manager to ring me at 4 he didn’t and still hasn’t. Rang at 4.30 the store confirmed the driver had taken my delivery back to the store so even though it was paid for no-one had sent it out. Rang at 5.30 as still no delivery to be told they are busy and only have 1 driver so it would be with me between 7 and 8. Told them to cancel the order as it is Friday night and we are going out. After 5 phone calls and no-one following through on what they had agreed and the store just sitting on my order without any attempt to contact me is the last straw. Waitrose can’t be any worse and I will shop there in future as it seems all of my complaints fall on deaf ears. Shame on you Sainsburys at Barnwood for such appalling service and for failing to action things as you promised.

Its a supermarket! Prices can be a bit high at times. I really like the fact that there is an Argos store in store, very convenient to pickup last minute things

Used to be a great place to shop. Now it always looks like a tip. No cafe or deli counters any more. Too expensive.

Only used the petrol station but fuel was cheaper and they have a good drive in car wash and powerful vacumn

Large store has a good size clothes section, ladies, gents, babies through to 14/15 year olds. Normal selection of fruit/veg, shopping

Who doesn’t love a Sainsburys, much better quality fruit and veg than Tesco.
