Placed an order and literally every item I ordered that wasn't Waitrose branded was replaced with something that was, and I mean every single item!
Further more the one main item I ordered was missing due to 'not being in stock' (which it was as I ended up going in store and getting it but it was an item they couldn't replace with their own brand.. ).
I liked Waitrose but as they want a bigger slice of that product pie they are more interested in selling they're own products than actual customer service now. It's a shame as although I'm happy to buy a stores own brand with some products its my preference which items I chose to do that for in an order, not yours.

Used to be a good store but sadly no longer. Innumerable items missing. Multiple labelled spaces on shelves filled with the same item to give the impression of fullness make the experience of finding whether or not (usually not) they have the item you want immensely frustrating. Now, I'm sure the management of the store will point to nationwide supply chain issues etc. but that does not explain why other Waitrose stores (e.g. Kenilworth) do not appear to have the same issues and nor do direct competitors such as M&S. M&S in London Colney for example has completely full shelves and full range.

Also, the general tidiness of the store is shocking recently. The fresh meat section in particular looks like various random packets of meat have been airdropped in from a great height. Impossible to find what you want without examining dozens of packets. Again, no excuse for this when other Waitrose stores do not have the same issue.

Free coffee with any purchase. Great shop with helpful staff.

I've given up on this Waitrose. Staff are rude and patronising both to customers and when loudly berating their own staff across the shop floor, never a pleasant experience, go elsewhere!

Poor service from Jenny and Julia at the customer service desk.

They seem visibly disgusted to serve ethnic and non Caucasian customers. Referred to us as “these people” rather than customers.

They clearly think they’re better than the customers. You’d expect better customer service at Waitrose would be better however I get better service at Aldi and Lidl.

Unfortunately there is broken heating in the public areas. Even colder next to the freezers and chiller cabinets. The same maintenance problem as last winter. So I will be visiting Berkhamstead Waitrose. I can’t subject myself to white fingers that can’t hold onto products. The UK has issues over the cost of domestic heating so I have mentioned the above points to Waitrose have your say. com. Don’t expect a branch to get only 2 star review.

It's okay but products are expensive and quality is usually good. However there are cheaper options that are pretty good which have their merits. Depending on what we want we use alternative supermarkets.

Very good supermarket, well stocked and keen prices. But, but, but... avoid if you need a parent/child spaces or blue badge space as too often occupied by regular shoppers.
