Nice, helpf staff, great location, opposite The Thames, very nearby, "a stone's throw" to Excel exhibition, conference or business Centre. Small but well stocked convenience Tesco store

I have been coming to this shop for a few months now since the COVID pandemic struck, and I have noticed on every visit that hardly any of the staff are wearing face masks, nor are they even attempting to enforce social distancing in this small shop. THIS IS A MAJOR HEALTH RISK and if a second wave strikes (which it looks like it will), it is behaviour like this that will drive it. Furthermore, on most occasions, I would say at least 40% of the customers are not wearing face masks, and staff are not asking customers to either. No one seems to care whatsoever. It's truly bizarre. Given that this area is home to many individuals from minority backgrounds (vulnerable to the virus), one would think that more care would be taken. Unfortunately, since April, this hasn't been the case. I also understand this wearing a face mask during a long shift can be hard work, but it is absolutely necessary. If healthcare workers can do it, why can't regular workers? In Australia and many other countries, these measures are enforced much more rigorously and confidently. Sadly, here in the UK, they are not.

So handy for returning parcels. However shelves are usually pretty empty and it's crazy busy. 5 stars is because of a member of staff with the name badge Cj, she's an absolute asset to the store... she's so warm and friendly towards all customers. Being served by her is such a nice change to a usually chaotic and stressful store.

I fail to understand some of the comments here. Staff is friendly and is always up for a small chat. Theres is a guy at the till with slightly longer here and we always have a laugh or crack a joke. The Lady who seems to be a manager is absolutely lovely and adorable and so is "Curly" behind the till.
Always polite and helpful. Ok, the prices are slightly higher but it is a TESCO Express. The Security guard some people were complaining about here was actually just a bit blunt but that was due to a language barrier. When you answered him in a normal way and just spoke to him, he was actually very funny. They don't have everything but how can they? The premises are not that large.

Sort out the beggar who is constantly in your door. Staff said they can't do anything, try Google and the police

Very convenient location and it's open 7 days a week, however the shelves are often missing stock and it's crowded most of the peak times.

This Tesco is the poorest Ive ever shopped at. I've just moved to the area and in a few occasion all I've had is bad attitude from the guard because of my dog (witch never entered the premises) the guard asked me first where I was from and then made a comment " in your country do you walk dogs in front of shops" clearly he was bothered by me waiting for my partner outside with the dog, overall unwelcoming and fridges are broken we bought some drinks and the fridge was off. We made aware of the issue a staff member and he said there's nothing he could do.

Security guard ( old light skinned of Asian decent ) was extremely judgemental and rude. This has been my second visit there which will be my last. I was greeted with a very weird sentence ‘ you like shopping ? You like shopping ? I have seen you here before ‘ . I proceed to reply that I do like shopping and this is my only second visit here . There was a group of other people that came inside of the shop exactly the same time as me and were not approach in this weird way , so to me it felt as like a weak and childish attempt of humiliation and theft. I decided to confront the security guard , but he was unable to reply to my questions, because he did not expect me to defend myself . I don’t know how they are allowing an adult bully to work there. This is extremely inappropriate and offensive . I would not wish this bad service upon anyone .
