M&S Simply Food

A small supermarket by M&S usual standards but plenty of food variety. There also lots of gifts - chocs, flowers, bubbly etc so very handy for visiting on the way to friends and relatives.

I visited the store this morning and was extremely sorry for the till operators who sit in direct line of the door.It was very cold and uncomfortable for them. These are not good working conditions and I think that M&S should be more caring for its staff.
In all other respects I think the store is an asset for the town.

Pretty good for a small store. Not the whole range of gluten free items, but a fairly good selection. Difficult to completely socially distance as aisles are not very wide, but plenty of sanitiser and very helpful staff.

Emma in the bakery was very helpful. Helped me make jam doughnuts without sugar. Very pleased with the three packs of doughnuts.

Emma in the bakery was very helpful. I told Emma my plan was to come early in the morning to pick up some doughnuts without sugar but I did not make it in early. Emma then asked me how many packs I wanted. I explained three packs and she said they would be ready for me in 30 minutes when I returned. They were ready. Emma was professional and helpful and offered to also help in future. I was so happy. It made my day. First class service. Thanks Emma. M & S.

Posted during covid-19 pandemic, staff are extremely helpful at getting customers in around and out of the store. 1st class service. Plus shelves are.well stocked
