Really awful shopping here, although the prices for basic foods are still very competitive. The issue is that there are only a few automated checkouts in operation. On a Saturday morning it is not enough to have only 3 checkout machines working with dozens of people waiting in a queue . All the other machines had 'screen locked' on them and were not in use. Asking staff is a waste if time - "I dunno" is the response I got. The branch manager needs a good kick up the behind to shake him up a bit. What do these people do all day?

I visited today, total mess, no staff, nobody to ask question or tidy the store, looks lidl going into direction of all "no", no standards, no staff, no to cleaness, no customer service, but money saved and sent to germany, well done lidl!

Good prices, nice food, and a spacious interior. Still, I really dislike the one way automated barriers at the entrances that don't let you walk back out once you've walked into the shop. You have to leave the shop via a designated exit which I dislike. Also, like all Lidl stores, their self service machines are pretty shoddy and are always breaking down. Anyway, this shop is a good addition to Holloway for those of us who generally don't have a lot of money.

Obviously much cheaper than the surrounding places on the high street which serves very much to its advantage. The prices aren’t as cheap as I had hoped having gone to Lidl’s outside the capital however. The layout of the store is really poor and somewhat confusing - as well as the lines for the checkouts getting caught up with those trying to browse. The stock was a little low and so a few items were tough to find. The self-checkout had a longish queue and when I got to the front it seemed there were a number free so not entirely sure why.

I have visited Lidls in Denmark, and Finland and was excited to hear that a Lidl was near my place. I'm a student so Lidls are a great place for alternative variety and cheaper pricing. I found this Lidl to be limited in stock and variety which is quite disappointing. It's nowhere near the standards compared to Northern Europe.

Great location but many shelves empty items on wrong shelves and only one person on the checkout with at least a dozen queuing. Place seems very under staffed.

Always a busy branch.
I hope they fix their self check out tills though, as half aren't working most of the time

Lidl is perfect for me as it has wide, well lit aisles. This means easy access and I can get about easily. It's themed weekly promotions such as Greek/Spanish/French week mean I can buy the country's most popular foods/produce often for bargain prices and try new meals/produce.I have saved well over £15 by using the Lidl plus app as well.
