Tesco Express

I have given 5 stars for the staff! The big problem, and actually only problem, with this branch is that all the cash self-service tills have been removed. The queue for the cashier is so long because there understaffed. People come to pick up packages (which means the staff have to leave counter, lottery tickets, tobacco, alcohol and customer service queries which means requires more staff to handle this extra work. The staff are always wonderful and take the brunt of customers frustration when it is not their fault and the situation should be reviewed. I would suggest using the model of M&S nearby who have kept two cash self-serve machines and a cashier who takes cash only for the customers who are not confident in using self-serve. Also, M&S have got their package pick-up point separate with staff located there who are not on the floor. I now shop in M&S for basics as the prices are not that different but it is easier and quicker. I do hope that Tesco will do something to help the staff and make the store the easy shopping experience it was before.

I would have given 4/5 stars if I could still shop here. As health care worker I start work at 7am. The shop has recently changed its hours. This effects alot of local workers many cant leave there place of work during the day. The staff are amazin n very friendly. I miss going in here daily. Notting hill is fairly busy between 6am and 7am so can't understand why they have changed hours.

They help charities as a food waste heroes. I am not fond of croissants but this place has amazing croissants and lovely staff as well. Highly recommended!

I was there on the 24th of December and the management made me leave without the respective purchases because he refused to enter the number of the "Clubcard" Tesco, according to the same theory that the "Clubcard" did not work on the 24th day bussy happens that I went to another Tesco and they already accepted the Clubcard, so it was only for this Tesco that didn't work 😂, the manager was rude and arrogant, I was in the respective supermarket between 5/6:30 pm to show who this bad employee is . I will also expose the problem to Tesco Central so that customers do not experience similar situations.

I have been impressed by the tenacity of supermarket staff in general and our local Notting Hill tesco in particular during these COVID19 times. They're friendly, helpful (mostly very friendly) and have done a great job keeping us stocked with food. Thank you!

Food variety is great with everyday needs available here too ranging from washing up liquid to flu medicine. However, the customer service is rather appalling. I was more than once forced to pay on the counter rather than on self service lane, with only minimum amount of people queuing on the self service lane. Customer should be free to choose whatever method available to pay especially during this pandemic which we prefer less human interaction.

Update: props to Tesco, they did take my suggestion and have been helpful ever since, hence I switch my 3 stars to 5 stars.

Such lovely staff, the security help you like they're shop assistants, always; but today stuck in my mind. Sunday 14th November about 5ish, I think he was security, so nice and friendly! Plus the security make you feel safe because they're vigilant without judging because; I've gone in there drunk many times. It's never any trouble when I ask them questions or make small talk, that's so rare nowadays. I look for any excuse to go in there because of the outstanding service. Always makes me leave with a smile. Keep up the good work, Waitrose could learn from you!
