I always find the staff are friendly, helpful and polite.
It’s not a shop that I would use for a weekly shop, more so when I want bits and bobs.
Went in 20th November at around 5:30 and was ‘served’ by Sylvie. I politely asked her where the eggs were and she said so so I grabbed them and thanked her and mentioned that we didn’t see them. She then replies in a snarky tone ‘I don’t know how you didn’t see them’ and treating me us like we’re stupid. My mum replies that the area where eggs should be there’s no eggs and Sylvie starts saying ‘I don’t believe you you’re lying’ so my mum goes and takes a picture of the big sign that says eggs with no eggs in sight. (Instead of eggs the shelves had oil). After showing her the picture Sylvie stops serving at the tills and left a queue of customers standing there whilst she goes in the back to look at the display. As soon as my mum mentions what she does for a job Sylvie’s attitude completely changed and she started apologising and lost the rude tone and came back saying she’d tell her manager about the eggs being in the wrong spot.
Appalling behaviour and it was quite clear she only behaved that way with us because we’re visibly Muslim women. She didn’t have any lip with the white men she served just us and suddenly started treating us decently when she found out what my mum does for work.
Parking is awful in Whitton but that none down to the store so five stars all around
