Having spent two decades in the Gulf, I appreciate good quality shawarma. It's rarely prepared with authentic spices. With Marble arch being too far, this is the best I have had on this side of London. They have a bakery so they make their own Khubz. The garlic sauce is not quite there yet, but then again, I haven't found any place here that does it like in the Gulf. To the owner: you could put a chip or two in the chicken shawarma, they do it in some countries.

If there one thing I really dispise its rude staff and not having your question answered respectfully. Am not sure why, maybe it was my clothing or the colour of my skin. Maybe they just have no manners at the cooked food counter. Is a shame as food is good.

This is our favourite shop for buying ingredients for BBQ. I love to get a nice piece of beef which is sliced into thin slice and put it on for a short time on the BBQ and then slice it into small, bite size chunks and then turn it into a sandwich with the special bakery bread they sell here. They also do an amazing rice and lamb leg which is their signature dish to take away. That takes a bunch of hours to prepare so make sure to order ahead of when you need it.

I've been here a few times. What makes a place is the staff. And that's why this place does well. Here's an example. I wanted a watermelon. There was 1 left during the lockdown. One massive watermelon. The staff member could see I was unsure. Without me having to ask, he offered to cut it in half and sell me half. Staff that are incredibly polite and helpful, wide choice of food and other items all reasonably priced - can't ask for much more!

Decent prices, and all products you can imagine and a professional butcher for halal meat.

Literally rip off, it is at least 25% more expensive than other shops.
I stopped shopping with them.

Love this place. Friendly, helpful, good prices, and food that is hard to find elsewhere.

Added advantage: we’re never any lines during lockdown, when waitrose had over an hour to get in!
