Tesco Express

Frequently opens late. The same members of staff wear masks some days and not on others - seems to depend on who's on duty as manager. Needs a bloody good clean, not just a gesture towards cleanliness. Has a really convenient car park though!

Felt very unwelcomed by the tall security guard who works there.
This is my local Tesco and every time I go in, the security guard has treated me like a criminal, despite never having stolen anything in my life. Today was just despicable. I saw the security guard near the back entrance of the shop, as I was passing by with one item of shopping to buy to go to the self checkout. I went to the self check out and when I turned around the security guard was there giving me a stare down and even when I left the shop I could see him staring me down again. This isn’t the first time he has done this, he always comes to the self checkout just as I am there to complete my shopping, in fact I can pinpoint at least 8 times out of 10 where this has happened. Absolutely despicable!!! He should receive some stern feedback from the manager regarding this as it makes shoppers feel very uncomfortable. This is not good at all!!

And they never pick up their phones when I call them! Whenever I go in-store and say I tried calling but no one answers, they keep saying, "sorry the phone was on silence"!

Poor service at Tesco mobile point. Female staff tried to help. But male staff is useless. Finally did not get a SIM card. Wasted my time and money

Poor management especially security.
The door to car park is closed at their will. No timings. Front door closed 10 minutes to 11 and when questioned no satisfactory answer.

Staff are cheeky don't move when you want to access a shelf or speak to you.

They also lock the door from the carpark out the back so you need to walk around to the front. over all not the best shop and you feel like your get in the staffs way when your in so so wrong

Often the place is full of trolleys that staff use for stacking the shelves, just abandoned blocking the place up!

Update, if was diabolical last week, there were already 5 trollies in the small back section (4 more in the front section) and a member of staff was bringing out another. I commented and give him his due, they moved them all out

Further update very helpful member of staff who instantly went into the store room and brought out milk for me.

Trollies still a bit of an issue

Good shop, wide enough range of products, long open hours, friendly staff…..
Nevertheless I have to agree with Jaimini’s opinion of one particular security guard - she was actually still lucky though!
I was humiliated by that guard on several occasions he requested checking my shopping bag against the receipt at the door for no apparent reason - felt lucky I didn’t refuse to take the receipt at the counter!
Never happened something like that to me anywhere else.
Shame - if one person spoils the entire experience.
