I have been a customer of this store for years. I love the friendly staff and the nice layout of the shop as well as the variety of goods on the shelves.
It does get quite busy but the introduction of the self service tills reduced the queues. There are tills at the fort and at the back of the shop. Also they is a paid parking area at the back of the store.

M&S have an impressive range of lovely food and ready meals, however I am not really impressed with the ingredients in their products. There is palm oil in so many products, increased levels of salt and sugar, no wonder so many dishes taste so good as one would not put so much sugar or salt in the dishes at home. You do not need a palm oil in peanut butter! Recently, I noticed that quality of fruit has deteriorated, namely grapes are really bad, I found mouldy raspberries on display, out of date products and a few times bough kefir and within a couple of days it had gone off (it was still within BBE). It is impossible to get everything right all the time, but it takes only one product to be not up to the standard and it can cause certain issues. Lastly, the refrigeration in the store is so loud and it is really cold in the store. From perspective of energy efficiency, this store is probably not really up to the standard. It has been like this for years. Other supermarkets introduced chilling cabinets style displays, surely more energy efficient. Thank you for reading.

Extensive range of Marks and Spencer own brands with a tiny number of NON-M&S items. Nice, but expensive bakery and patisserie but not better or worse than most independent Artisan bakeries and this is a huge chain supermarket. The meat and vegetables are of a high standard but they don't have actual meat or fish counters like Waitrose for instance. All in all it is more of a very expensive convenience store than a Supermarket. Very good in many ways but what if you just want a tin of chopped tomatoes and some crisps. You have to buy M&S. It's your choice. I wish you well.

The shop is fine. Order for collection needs better managing as every time I come there’s a long and slow queue. Staff polite though.

I'm not sure if the M&S experience is for everyone. Lots of M&S own brands that are OK but not that different to any premium lines at any number of supermarkets up and down the high streets of Britain. Undoubtedly good quality, but I have preferences that mean I don't buy the M&S version. I'd buy cream cakes from Morrisons before any other supermarket, but I'd probably buy M&S milk and flavoured milks as they just seem to taste nicer, especially the Coffee flavoured milk. I'm not impressed by the bakery, it looks great but I've often found a lot of the bakery items, bread mainly, are a bit disappointing. As for preserves, I'd say that LIDL sell the best jam and marmalade. I used to always buy Bonne Maman. So all in all, M&S is goodish.

Awful place to shop for your groceries. Heaven forbid you’re an ethnic minority you get followed around the store by security. I guess ethnics are not welcome in Muswell Hill unless you’re one of the staff!

Shocking experience and it’s a repeated occurrence. EVERY TIME I shop there.

Spoke to the management about this and they were flippant the first time.

Today major issues with the reshuffling of their store. The staff aren’t familiar with all the offers and when you query it at the check out. The standard Answer is - offers change all the time. And they differ store to store. ?!?!
Ummm really?!? So the £15 Mexican meal deals have changed offering from last week. Even though it’s on the shelf in different places now??? Someone’s a little confused and it isn’t me!

So sad and disappointment this store is no where near up to the M&S standards!!!

Went to Waitrose instead. Their standards are the same. Day in and day out.
