Longdan Shoreditch

Been walking by loads and not sure why I never went in to explore. It’s like candy shop for Asian food enthusiasts. I am by no means pro in choosing Asian foods but store is good size and well organised with labels in English to understand what things are. Staff was not intrusive and let me wonder through the isles and explore variety of each products. Lots of instant noodles, spices and essential ingredients as frozen goods and small section of fresh veggies for cooking at home. There is a small section with utensils and little bowls for serving ramen and such.
Definitely returning!

one of best stocked asian supermarkets in london in my opinion.
other ones are ususally more chinese focused this one however has much more in the area of South East Asion foods like thai and vietnamese.

Nice supermarket. Impressive selection of asian food and every condiment you can imagine. Found a wide selection of frozen dumplings and got myself some Korean dumplings which I’ve had overseas.

A huge selection of vegan options, including a separate freezer section, but also a large range of stuff in amongst the general stock, from ingredients and sauces, dried meat replacement, snacks and baked/fresh desserts. I come in here multiple times a week, and I’m not the most careful shopper, but I’m always shocked at how cheap it is at checkout. Really good prices all round, and also sometimes buy one get one deals etc. on different items. The same shop at the competitor I used to go to would have been 3-4x the price sometimes.

The frozen selection is fairly extensive but was a bit disappointed overall with the selection in this branch.

Stock levels vary, shelves can be empty one day, packed the next. Staff can check the back room for stock, if you're lucky and catch them on a good day

I love Longdan it helps me with all my fine dining needs when I want to live up to the likes of my Masterchef heroes - John Torode and Greg Wallace - Thai Basil is a must . Good hard tofu -suits me just fine when I trying to keep off the meat.

I love Longdan, it is my go to for any sort of East/South Eastern Asian groceries I need. Also, if I ever need help with something the staff is always happy to help and very friendly. My one issue is that the prices can be pretty steep when compared to other similar supermarkets.

This store has a good range of products. It's however let down by the staff who are clearly indifferent towards customers. Prices are on the high side as well.
