This store is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for all your day to day household needs plus treats, it has a cafe, a juice bar, a deli bar, a wine bar where you can also enjoy a nice glass of wine, a Post Office, plus a large Restaurant.
You can also buy plants electrical goods, babies clothing plus other bits, even adult underwear, a lovely fresh bakery, I could go on & on as the shop is amazing, lovely friendly & helpful staff too, but be warned as this store does get extremely busy at times with large queues in the daytime to get your free cup of tea of coffee ( if you have a Waitrose card) in both the cafe & the Restaurant.
The aisles are well stocked, neatly arranged and well labelled with prices of the the product.
The store is generally well lit, spacious and kept tidy. The staff are also always helpful.
There's also lot of parking which is free for up to 3 hours.
Now, all prior experiences my attire is probably more accustom to your shoppers demographic with many of the staff knowing me well enough to say hello. However, having recently come out of hospital following hip surgery I wore comfortable tracksuit bottoms and what should be a growing familiar sight a mask to avoid any recovery complications. Though this attire appeared to feed the assumptions of workers this was confirmed when on completion of my shopping at quick check I challenged the worker, which only confirmed this as her motivation. Her weak and insincere apology was filled with lexical clauses leaving me more frustrated. “If you’ve done nothing wrong it should be a problem” was one utterance that highlighted the fact that they were doing a job they really didn’t understand. The problem is its hostile, it can be frightening, embarrassing and for me given my recent surgery left me feeling physically unwell and very stressed. pressing her on why I was selected in this campaign which at a points involved up to four members of staff, she replied there isn’t a security guard today, its my suggestion that have a go approach has failed, and training around this issue should be imminently provided.
Again absolutely disgusted by this experience, and will be ensuring I share it as a way of caution. Despite the allure of convenience and food products that I’ve long enjoyed I will now refrain from shopping at the store given the caveat ladened apology that was delivered with no skill or sincerity.
